is there any penalty for hijacking an instance?

last boss of vhof, crown kicks one dude, invites a random and gives him crown. moments later we are all getting removed from group. i have video and everything but am wondering if zos/whoever is actually going to do something? im hoping for an account temporary ban and if not the first offense, permanent ban.

If it was a guild run, leave the guild or ask the GM to kick the crown from the guild.

If it was a PuG...

Maybe u were underperfoming? Did u think about it? I would do exacly same thing, at least u gave his guildies/friends chance for insta loot without reseting and entire way to.

This isn't hijacking the instance. Crown gave him control. I mean, kind of a *** thing to do, but if anything be mad at crown for letting it happen.

The person to take this up with is the one who has the crown to start with. He/she is the one who essentially gave the instance away.

Zos has no part in it since it was a group of players who formed the group, not something Zos formed or setup.

Is this ps4? If so I'm pretty sure I know who kicked you and why. Take it up with the person who had crown before, bot the person who kicked you. Being a whiney little *** on the forums is likely a symptom of whatever ended up getting you kicked in the first pplace.

if the group was good enough to get TO the last boss in vhof, what could possibly be the reason to kick a bunch of people besides someone wanting to give their other guild members an easy vhof finish?

To me it sounds like a complete jerk thing to do. I don't even do this with crappy people in vet dungeons.

You weren't there, I wasn't there. It's none of our business. But here's an example: if you had some group members that were intentionally preventing your team from finishing would you not kick them and replace them so you can be done and over with?

Let's say you were doing white fold tower, and you were there with 2 other friends, and 1 random. The random was being beligerant amd rude, amd no matter how much you try you're just stuck. would you not kick the random? Because at that point its warranted.

Let's stop pretending to know all the details and give OP the useful advice of taking it up with the people that removed him from the group. Calling in zos to settle personal differences over something this silly is a bit pathetic and unnecissary

you're right... i wasn't there. but i DID group with a few of the people in vAA... AFTER they were kicked..so i do know what happened now.

I was just gonna say, if they did this at last boss (2nd to last would be performance issues, not last boss which is basically be in the right place and dps/heal!) - someone's getting paid!

That sucks that happened to you OP. They were definitely selling skins to people or they just like to watch the world burn. Unfortunately I don't think ZoS can do anything because there's no rules they broke even though they were being a total jackass. Hope you get back in with a good group soon.

There are lot of these stories going back to the beginning of the game. Although I've never been a part of this happening, I can see how it happens, and how it will always happen. PUG groups happen for many reasons. Inevitably, crown is given away to someone who claims to "have a guy". Now he/she has control. The easy answer is "don't give crown away" and "ask for gamer tag".

But, there is an easy fix to this. Why not add a feature to "allow to invite to group" and "do not allow to invite to group" that does not relinquish control of the group. Crown can give someone authority to invite to group, but not give them control of the group. Crown still has final say on who gets kicked, including someone abusing the invite privilege. Perhaps "allow" and "don't allow" options. But this will stop all this instance hacking.

Yeah, I just watched the video and the comments. I'm not an avid trial runner myself, but something needs to happen with behavior like this.

Illustrates perfectly how it isn't PVP or PVE that's inherently toxic, it's just people who are.

People are disappointing.

If he got to the final boss in HoF, his group was probably fine. The real culling point are the three derps right before the final boss.
