Why do I get a mail icon with no mail

The top right of the screen I have a envelop when I get mail and it stays there forever

    Happens every day for me and ironically I dumped the skill points for hireling mails so that can't be the issue.

    Sometimes the mail gets stuck. You need to relog or wait a bit until you can read it and pick any attachments. I also have a problem with mails that are delivered, can be read and looted, but can't be deleted unless I log in again.

    I get the icon most of the time too. Might be if you have mail with attachments not removed or something but its annoying yep as its not just new mail

    I used to have that problem, but now my mail icon NEVER lights up even when i have mail :P

    I've noticed the problem occurs when you get both a mail and a guild notification (or any sort of message notification) at the same time. If it's either or, the icons disappear.

    The mail icon does not refer exclusively to mail. Check your other notifications (not just the things in the notifications category in your menu) and if your mail has any attachments.

    Mail icon can be fur changes to guilds motd or a request to trade, group up, friends completion of something putting g them on a leader board or you simply having successfully queued for an event

    My hirelings use to show up everyday like clockwork. I noticed they are getting later and later. Im getting hirelings a full 12-15 hours later than i use too.
