Most Tanks Cannot tanking

    Why did someone re I've this thread that has enjoyed such a long slumber. It certainly didn't show much staying power last year.

    Lol. This thread has me thinking now. Damage dealers have AoE skills to supply damage (e.g. Wall of Elements), as healers have AoE skills to supply healing (e.g. Healing Springs)... Where are the tank AoE skills to supply taunting? Lmao. This whole time that ESO has been out, I never once realized that the 3 roles had a rather serious missing link. It’s as if the devs were like, “Alright. We have all 3 main roles figured out, and sorted in regards to AoE skills to perform the roles to the best of their abilities. Well... Escept for tanks.     If mobs pull towards the DDs it is normally because one of the group has an itchy trigger finger. Let the tank start the pull and life will be easier for everyone.

    AoE taunt is not needed and the game is designed as such. Pre-launch the devs stated ths intent that when a group agros a group of mobs that some will go towards the healer and dps. We all have the skills to deal with such aspects. Heck, that was back when a mob could one shot you in a dungeon.

    Only thing the new nerfs will do is widen that gap. And, revolutionary as this may sound, let me offer a suggestion: Maybe we should stop asking the dude who is the best at tanking, how hard tanking is. Perhaps, he is not a good judge of it's difficulty. (Note: This is not ment to be one person in particular, this imaginary man is a hypothetical.)

    To be fair, you should not expect Tanks and Healers to be fantastic in the Normal Dungeon que. I cannot speak for Veteran Dungeons though. Anyway, most people trying to fulfill those roles on Normal seem to be grinding up new characters. Dungeons seem to be a good way to level up new characters, in my opinion, assuming you get lucky with fast que times. It takes a while to find one as a DPS character as that is a popular role so I think people will que up as another role just to get in groups faster. I have had some awesome Tanks and Healers though in Normal Dungeons.

    The best tanks seem to be found with high CP as they have access to more skills and gear.

    As others have said, you can stick to friends and guild members if you are bothered that much.

    Lol. It's been my experience that it's the CP800+ players that just sit there and spam light attack/run all over the place (I'm assuming these guys are mainly PvPers). I've had quite a few good random Vet runs with sub CP400 players. In regular dungeons, it's usually the lower level players that are better. Everyone else is just in a rush.

    Those who kick people below CP cap do so, because they are afraid that they can't be carried by lower level players, this shows that high CP means nothing at all, people like this give veteran players a bad name.

    Look at the pts right now.

    Tanks were nerfed again. Blocking nerfed and resources from synergies were temporary nerfed too. Very latest patch reverted that nerf atleast.

    Zos only nerfs tanks because some zerg in pvp can't kill that one dk who deals 0 damage.
