The only set I somewhat regret deconnig was Strength of the Automaton, which I deconstructed back in the day when I ran out of space on my bank characters. It had 1 health bonus instead of weapon critical back then so I didn't consider it worth using. Fortunately it's rather easy to farm if I'll need it again, though it may be a while until I get to play my Stamina Templar and Sorcerer. They are leveled but I don't have time to get all the shards to spec them.

When it comes to crafted sets, Armor Master takes the high crown:
    - Requires 9 traits researched, which can take up to 15 months of back to back researching and substantial investment
    - Found in PvP area, so you have to queue and survive the gankers unless someone has it attuned on a crafting station
    - You have to cast an armor ability every 10s to get the resistance buff, and have it slotted on both bars for the health one
    - Same resistance bonuses available from Fortified Brass which needs only 4 traits, no strings attached
    - You are better off using said set and slotting Structured Entropy instead of armor skill, for 8% instead of 5% health bonus

Lol I bet half the players who have overwhelming equipped in pvp and are of decent skill level would pk you pretty quickly. That set is very strong - amazing 2-4 pieces and a 5th set bonus that puts pressure and procs concussion.

If that's trash I don't know what else is.

I don't PvP, so I find the set useless and vendor it immediately. If you find a use for it, then by all means, have fun. :)

Lol. Overwhelming has some great situational use on certain builds in PvP. In PvE, it was good back when it could crit.

I could see some streamer running this set, making it popular and getting it nerfed. Not because its OP, but because it got popular and the nerf bat follows the meta even if the meta is wrong.

I would´ve to say Medusa set:

(2 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 items) Gain Minor Force at all times, increasing your Critical Damage by 12%.

If the set was light armor it would be an ok-ish set, but since it´s heavy I can´t really find any usefulness for it.

if there was an heavy armor set that needed to have tri stat jewels variants, this was the set.

If Sithis was a pure Hybrid set, gave bonuses like Magic/Stamina recovery and/or Max Magic/Stamina, I could maybe see forgiving the horrible 5pc bonus. As is though, it's by far the worst set since it has absolutely no practical applications, not even in overworld content.

http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Oblivion's_Foe would like to have a work with you. 8 trait set that only buffs one skill.

Armor master makes a great back bar set. You don't need it on both bars is a plus.

That is what I said. Think about how many Ice skills you have in the game.
Wall of elements.. Pulse.. Elemental ring.. Touch.. Winter's revenge.. frost Cloak.. Elemental Storm. Compare to every other element.
Now think about how many Direct Damage skills you have.. Touch.. Pulse.. Ring.. Staff. Warden would gain 1K DPS from the set alone helping it to better perform. Single target fights it would only give 1K DPS every other second but Trash fights is where it would excel. Bringing the warden more in line with other classes. Run it on the front bar with a vMA back bar, Staff Chest, Jewelry for the 5/1/1 set up then slot Julianos / Acuity + Ice heart / Kena for the rest of the set up.. be interesting build. You could also run Winterborn instead of a crafted set for all the ice.. but this won't even be anything more than a concept unless Zos fixes that set.

So instead of asking what set is the most useless, let’s ask what set are the most popular and then you can eliminate those not on the list B)

Exactly this... sets like automaton hit like a truck with the right build, so does spider cultist, even medusa can be effective if used in the right slots... And, who said tormentor was trash?! Love charging around with this set, great resistance buff and a free taunt and shield... bang for your buck!!
I hold sets (especially jewellery) just in case I wanna switch things up and try something different, or they get altered slightly and become useful. that being said I'm currently holding on to a an epic automaton resto staff with a block reduction trait cos it's such an ironic piece I cannot bring myself to decon it..
It's one of the things I like about this game, with a little thought you can still be highly effective without blindly following some streamer...

Rattlecage is far from a bad set. Especially since there´re one unique neck and one unique ring in arcane. Works well on magDK and magplar in PvP.

And the unique jewels (ring and neck in arcane) both drops from first boss in vault of madness, so the farm is super ez :)
