There are plenty of good sets that aren't in Alcast builds, especially if we're talking about PVP in addition to PVE. The extension of the term "good set" is far wider than the term "BIS set for optimized endgame raid builds".

If you don't have a clue about any good sets why make an empty list about it?

There are various builds posted out there that include gear for proven builds. Best organized site I have seen is Tamrielfoundry.com. Make sure the build has some demonstration of actual use since some post builds they think are cool but are basically junk.

Also, a list of good sets is rather pointless without context. Some sets are good with one build but trash with another build.

For pvp archers marksman and morag tong, w/ asylum bow.

I dont have a clue about any other build. lol.

Robes of the sun are good for mag dk i think too.

Julianos for magic users 299 base spell damage 6T craftable

Hundings Rage for stamina users both 6T craftable 299 weapon damage

Seducer for sustain issues 3T Craftable 8% magic cost reduction

Willows Path also a decent set for sustain issues potion part is fixed now Crafatable 15% magic stam health regen

Kragrenacs Hope Craftable Set

War Maiden good magic set 400 to magic damage

Alteration Mastery good ability cost reduction set 6% cost reduction of all abilities

Night terror good khajiit steal *** set 2meter sneak detection reduction good for chests and strongboxes

And a really nice added bonus the Blade of woe great way to dispatch a foe in dungeons or that npc who wont get away from Khajiits strongbox.

Shalk armor set good for ulti gen on dk 1ulti gain per 1.5 sec in combat. which adds up with heroic slash, molten weapons, and HA

These are good sets and easily obtainable.

When I wake up and finish this coffee I will possibly add more.

Hunding’s+VO could be BIS for stamblades, depending on the group, and it’s not even listed?

You are missing some pretty obvious ones assuming this list is end game PVE.

For Magic: Master Architect is basically Moondancer if just running the four piece, and the 5 piece is certainly useful for some builds in a trial setting. You might also want to throw mother's sorrow on the list. Not my fav, but some people make good use of it.

For Stamina: Again, war machine should be on the list. You are also missing most of the debuff sets used in end game trials, Sunderflame, Alkosh, and Morag Tong. I would also add Vicous Ophidian as a viable damage set for most classes (especially if solo) and Automaton as probably the BIS pure damage set for Stam Sorcs.

For Tanks: Torugs needs to be on the list for sure. It is a great set in 4 man stuff, especially if you dont want to mess with alkosh. Powerful assault should also be on the list for end game tanking.

Add mechanical acuity for builds with less than 50% crit chance. And Mother's Sorrow or Leviathan for builds with over 50% crit chance.

Kagrenac’s Hope is a good PVP set for Magicka users of any class for DPS and Healers. PVP Tanks should look elsewhere, though.

If you’re running a two piece monster set, a five piece armor set and Maelstrom or Asylum weapons, then the Agility or Willpower three piece jewelry sets are quite useful.

@Jade1986 I was telling a friend about the Marksmen set since she loves running a bow on her stam blade. Getting good success with it I assume.

Is Hist Bark no longer considered a good set for tanks?

Also for MagSorcs what about:

• Queens Elegance
• Way of martial knowledge
• Spinners
• Overwhelming Surge

Might not be in the meta builds, but they all seem decent?

One more unmentioned set for stam DPS and/or the off tank: Powerful Assault.

It's a huge buff. Run it on one stam DPS and all your stam DPS will see a significant DPS increase.

I don't mean to be rude but I think there needs to be some clarification around these sets.

Hist bark is a good beginner tanking set, but endgame tanking is more about group support and resource management than being defensive, but if you have a permablock build maybe it would be OK.

I don't know of any builds that use way of martial knowledge, the +10% damage on one attack every 4 seconds is completely surpassed by any set that adds damage or crit.

Queens elegance used to be great on sorcs before the nerf to overload. It hasn't been popular for a while, but I think it might be good if you have perfect light attack weaving because of the number of light attacks you do. I think there are still dk pvp heavy attack builds using it too.

Spinners is definitely good for solo play, but high cp light armor uses can easily get enough penetration without this set, so you could run a better set instead.

I've never tested overwhelming surge so I can't comment.

Edit- I suggested some sets then realised they had been mentioned.

I made a very strong werewolf build with Shackle Breaker, Mighty Chudan and Salvation. Tanky but still with great burst. Fun for PvP!

Best is really in the hands of the player more then just sets. I've seen all kinds of odd set ups that were highly effective even tho the concept didn't seem like it could work.

Not rude at all Jim_Pipp - wanted to hear some feedback on what other thought about those sets! Pretty much agree with you on what you've said, I suppose they're mostly beginner sets until you can do trials etc...

• 1 X Illambris ( or every 1 piece adding max magicka)
• 1 X iceheart ( or every 1 piece adding max mag crit)

My list 5 piece sets for pve:

Mag DD:

• Julianos

only good in certain cases and already got a really big nerf:

• Necropotence for pet sorc (due to the fact that pets only scale of mag it beats other sets but it scales really poor with light/heavy attack damage and you lose the bonus if the pet dies)
• Burning Spellweave for mag dk on boss fights with no immunity phase (nice set but has a cool-down and you have to run enough flame dots to make it worth even in execute which resulted quite often in a dps lose if your class has a strong execute)

(I really find netch not really good since it only buffs lightning which limits either your skill choice or doesn't buff all your skills and moondancer 5th piece is really unreliable: you have to get a synergy first which alone is not easy, there is only a 50% chance to get one you want and the amount of synergies is quite limited since morrowind )
