Two questions on major features in upcoming update for ZoS

For ZoS or anyone that might know the answers...

1. Outfit creation. Let's say I create my tanks outfit with sword/board and sword/board weapon slots. I'm in a run and want to throw my ice staff on the back bar, what happens to my outift?

Does it just keep everything as is and add the non outfit staff? If I want the exact same setup but with a custom and dyed staff, will I need to have two outfit slots that are exactly the same except for one having a staff that's customized? (this same question would apply to various setups, DPS dropping DW for a 2H, etc).

This has been my main curiosity in the outfit system, it's seems very versatile, but the way they've set up weapons to only be dye-able as part of the outfit system could create some limitations.

AND

2. Storage. Says in patch notes the only way to get one of the storage chests is with the level up rewards.

Does this mean that if I have 14 maxed out characters I cannot have 8 storage chests unless I buy another character slot and level another character? Or does it mean I just buy two of another 'chest style' like sturdy wood or whatever they are calling the different types.

If you are forcing people to level again just to get a full set of storage, I think that's a bit much. It will force a crown store purchase for many players and I'd probably get the slot anyhow, but don't think it should be required of players that don't have the desire or crowns. And if this is how it works, pushes the crown store one step closer to pay-to-win IMO. You guys have danced that line well, occasionally sticking a toe over, but this feels like a bit more than that. I also don't like to see players that have put the time into the game to max out 14 characters being penalized for having already played the game.

So I'm hoping the notes just mean you can buy two of another style or you guys pull back on this and allow another way to acquire this 8th chest.

    1. Each outfit can hold the appearance of all 6 weapon types. At least that's what they said in the latest ESO live episode. Meaning you can pick the styles for all of the items you wish to equip.

In your example, if you go to the station with your sword and shield on both bars. Change the appearance of everything as normal including your weapons. Save the outfit, equip your staff and edit the outfit again saving the new staff appearance. According to the steam, this should allow you to change what weapons are equipped and retain your desired look. I haven't tested this yet though.

    2. From what they said on stream, you will be able to outright buy all 8 chests. If you level up a character you will be given one for free, but you don't have to level and can just buy it.

    1. Excellent if correct.

and on 2. the only reason I questioned this was the latest pts patch said that one of the chests was now ONLY available through the level up system, so wasn't sure how that impact a player with maxed characters not planning to buy a new character slot.

I just tested both of them:
    1. Works exactly as I described. Really awesome feature!
    2. I was able to purchase all of them. I bought some with crowns, some for Tel Var and some with Vouchers. Seems to all be in order.

    Hope this helps!

I think they may have just given the one rewarded with level up a unique name. Can anyone confirm that?

Hmm, seeing conflicting information on this in the PTS forums from posters now.

One is saying that you can only get 7 of the chests with crowns, writs vouchers or tel var and the 8th storage chest can ONLY be earned through the level up reward system.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno

can we get clarification on this?

The ONLY way for me to get one of the storage chests is buy buying a new character slot (if all my characters are already in existence that is - and keep in mind, deleting a character should never be an answer from you guys).

I was going to buy a character slot anyhow for my own reasons, so this does not effect me, but I do not think this approach from you guys is not on the up-and-up. Other players shouldn't be forced to buy something they don't want that new players will be given for free. It's dirty and is a line that you guys should not be crossing in regards to the way you do business with crowns.

It also concerns me that this thread and others like it didn't get a response from anyone at zos, so I apologize for tagging you as I try not to do that with every question, but it looks even worse for you guys when there are issues like this that are not clear and look as though they might be getting avoided by anyone that could give a clear cut answer.

I don't think the chest should be given retroactively, but there should be a way to earn the chest in game for any player that has already dedicated hours of their life and also possibly money to your game. If you wanted to make it different and not tied to a tel var or vouchers, tie it to a quest chain or something similar that existing maxed out players can still do. But I'm not one to ignore something that looks very wrong just because it won't effect me and I don't like the bad taste in my mouth this sort of thing is creating.
