lol, you can level a character extremely fast now, hours if you grind - i don't like grinding, i actually level'd my guys by doing the quests while picking up skyshards and mage guild books and get it all done at once and even then we are only talking 4-5 days.

The idea of leveling being slow now will be even funnier to anyone that has played since launch. Man, took forever back then and you had to grind up vet levels after you got to 50 too.

The problem is not in the leveling to 50, which can be done in a few hours. The problem is that once you are at 50, you still typically need to collect skyshards, level undaunted, Mages/fighters guild, main quest (soul assault), Alliance Ranks, crafting, and usually at least 1 extra skill orweapon line.

I am Currently in the process of finishing off character number 13, and while I might have been opposed to this a year or two ago, I will admit, I wish a few more things were account wide.

I am overwhelmed by your striking eloquence on this matter... as well as the proper English you yourself demonstrated in the sentence above...

Can we have level jumped characters that start at 50... And throw in 690 CP?
Oh and just reduce the EXP to unlock all of the; Undaunted, Mages Guild, Alliance War, Fighters, Soul Magic, Class, Weapons, Armor, and Racial lines to 10?

Actually no, my buddy told me he didn't feel like; completing a dungeon, finding a book, jump in Cyrodiil and then out, kill a daedra, start the main quest, touch any weapons (he wants Hand-to-hand so give it a 50k dmg buff please?) so can we just start with everything unlocked?

    Thanks!

    Hello annarr1117nub18_ESO,

We're sorry to hear leveling may be a bit slow for your liking. Perhaps trying different activities, if you haven't already, could help it seem less tedious. A list of some activities to try can be found here:

Good luck on your journey, we hope this helps.

Ehh, I think the levelling up is alright.
I don't agree with the OP that it should be faster. If one absolutely wants, there are ridiculously fast ways to level up the character already, usually practised by players who have toons they want to get to CP fast. But these are players who ALREADY played the game, did all the quests with their main characters - in other words, they DID play the game.
If this is suggested by a new player.. then, I have to say, the idea is ridiculous and I suggest choosing a different kind of entertainment... maybe Tetris? o_0

What seems tedious and frustrating is levelling up ANOTHER character. I'd agree with the statement that once you level up one character, some of the aspects of levelling up your "alts" should be... faster or account wide...e.g mount speed/stamina/capacity, for instance.

Im all for reducing the time it takes to go from cp160 to 690. Even with doing dailies and grinding dolmans other forms of getting exp Ive made it to high 300s. Its pretty well going to take a whole year to be able to even attempt difficult content. And thats after doing all norms, finishing caldwells gold and a majority of skyshards.

the mounts are beyond stupid for leveling up. it should be account wide. Even leveling up one is beyond stupid. Not sure what they were thinking. People involved in mmos need to smarten up when it comes to time sinks. Some are understandable like gear, leveling your character - too a point - because you want to keep people engaged and paying.
but time sinks like leveling your mount is just frustrating and pissing people off, and that causes people to quit.

so , developers - smarten up.

And the game hasn't used the Tamriel Unlimited branding since Morrowind launched.

Actually you're incorrect. I'm looking at three different venues of digital sale and they all list the core game as "TU"

Why is that even relevant to his statement?

I've said this plenty of times (some on forums, but mostly to friends while we are playing) - level your character by doing the main questline in a streamlined fashion.

Don't worry about all the sidequests, just follow the main questline in each zone - you'll get skill points when finishing main parts of them - and hit the delves in the zone while you are at it. While you are doing all this, you'll pick up the skyshards and mage guild books naturally and also level fighters guild because you'll fight a bunch of different mob types. You can also level legerdemain pretty easily during this time and other similar skill lines. Even pop into cyro once you open it and get a few alliance levels to open those skills up for leveling while you continue questing.

Personally, even after leveling 14 characters I still find that way more entertaining than just grinding.

But I'm not saying grinding isn't faster, but I've had many a friend grind a character up in a day and then a week later talk about needing skyshards or the mage guild book grind, etc. Which when you figure those into the equation of time taken isn't going to make a huge difference. Granted, the guy I'm leveling might not be max level until the end of the week after the person grinded up in a day, but I'm usually done with skill lines and shards before they are in the end. I've also usually ended up with a couple hundred thousand gold just by selling stuff I pick up and since I'm max level before finishing all that, also end up finding some gear to sell (or keep) here and there in zones I might not normally be in often.

I do have to say, I'm still a bit salty after watching people just need to level to fifty now with cp being account wide (Though I like the change). When I had to level ten different guys up to v12, then v14 after hitting fifty each separately. Imagine having to grind every character you had to max cp (with less xp rewards and less options for bonus xp) - that's what it used to be like. So I guess I feel like it's pretty easy now as I leveled my wardens compared to back then.
