#2 happens more often than not, and #3 is simply not an issue. I dont expect a noob to solo world bosses, but if you have been playing this game for more than a year and cant solo a world boss, you really need to work on your build a little bit.

I briefly respec'd my main to magblade to do the WB achievements cause I didn't wanna have to wait on zone chat or guild members. Blew right through 7 zones worth of world bosses solo.

No one (including me) wants to go fight WBs in zones with no good loot. After you get the achievements there's really no point.

If someone asks for help while not doing something, I help.

I don't need a reason, most can be solo'd (only 1 I can think of that might need more players is the Hunger boss in Vvardenfell)
so I'm gonna pull as soon as I arrive, if it's not already been done and be on my merry way afterwards.

It's been said before but I'll say it again, it's a damn shame Zos hasn't added hunting WB's to some daily npc, in particular the undaunted npc who just sends you to some delve that most have already completed and just boring to do being as delves are some of the easiest overland content for most vet players me thinks.

On another note, why so many boasting posts? Congratulations, you're part of the minority of elite players that can solo WB's, the vast majority of the fanbase can't, which is why you see so many call outs, at least from my experience in-game.

If you don't wanna help someone with a world boss that's fine. Why take the time to complain on the forums when you can be doing something for yourself in game/elsewhere? You could've helped that poor soul kill that boss with the time you've spent complaining

Make it worth your while? Okay..

I don't see why you even need to group up. The person says "Need help with "insert name here" Boss!", and this is the only checklist you can reasonably do.

    1. Is the Boss nearby to you?

    2. If not nearby, are you close to a Wayshrine so you can just port there?

    3. Are you currently doing anything that requires you're immediate attention?

I answer quite a few calls for help because I like to help out the low levels, cause I know how it is to be where they are.

In other words, you're naught but a selfish poopenshnizzen.
And that is the very reason I cringe every time I think about doing group content... Dungeons/World boss.
If you don't want this game to die a slow death.
You might want to think about giving noobs an incentive to play group content.
Heads up to any noobs that actually want to experience the Group dungeon quest lines, without running through it like a cat man on crack!

The good news is that my characters are nurturing and helpful by nature and love helping others - especially with WBs!

The bad news is that zone chat is so full of spamcrap that I have it disabled most of the time. :(

...huh? If someone calls for WB help and I'm not doing anything better I'll come and help usually. It takes like 5 minutes that I'd likely spend trying to figure what to do next anyway.

Also what group? Given the condescending tone I'm assuming you're not a fellow level 14 newbie, therefore you should have no issues soloing(technically duo-ing even) the WB. I don't think there are any that aren't soloable.

I'm also not sure what you mean by being "invited to do all WBs" - if you actually wanna do all WBs, well, go and do them? If you don't actually want to do WBs, how would having to do 6 instead of 1 make it any better?

You don't have to help with every world boss callout, but if you're close, you could take five minutes to help someone out. It kind of seems like you aren't doing anything but reading zone chat anyway. I don't see 99% of what is said in the zones, because I'm doing other things to occupy my eyes. You sound like a selfish person, to be honest.

I will ask for help at world bosses, especially in DLC areas, and with those that have a daily quest I always offer to share the quest. It seems to work well. I'm CP600+ and some of these bosses are no fun to do alone, safety in numbers, right?

Well, world bosses are generally tough for many folks, and those calling for help are typically not the bad asses of ESO that probably can solo those boss pits. Oh, I'm surely not a bad ass of ESO, but it's the "please" that gets me. I'm not farming world bosses and usually in an area doing the dailies or when leveling new toons. There are peeps calling for help all the time, and I wouldn't get to my dailies if I jump constantly to help them. However, it's the pleasantry, if you would, or courtesy of the please that I feel obligated to return in kind to go help that one calling for help with a please and/or thank you within. Ha ha

If I'm leveling a character and they don't know the map yet, I always answer the call. The only requirement is that they invite me to group. That gives me a free port across the map. That in and of itself is reward enough. If I get to kill the boss, all the better.

My take. See zone request for help. Invite player requesting help to group.

If they accept, port to said player, slaughter boss, run back to shrine, port back to original location. ( this in all is < 5 min).

If the do not accept or are in a group, move on with my day.

Simple test, removes human error from reporting of location and minimizes travel time to boss.

Or they are in a group / Don't want to join you and eff em.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

I think you misunderstood. Those of us who can solo WBs generally are saying the OP is a selfish ***. It isn't just a boast. We are saying we go out of our way to clear the boss for the new player.

Also, most new players can solo WBs. They just lack the confidence to try. World Bosses as a whole are quite weak.

Weeeeeeeeeell they're technically able to solo WBs, I did on my fresh no cp lowbie on EU, the low level-ness in itself isn't an issue with battle-levelling, it's that they're not yet used to game mechanics, are wearing mismatched gear, don't have selfheals(or even weapon swap at that point), food, right skills etc. Nothing wrong with a new player being unable to solo a WB and calling for help.

What does make me feel weird when same "not used to game mechanics, mismatched gear, no selfheals, food, right skills etc" still applies to cp 300+ people. Which sounds like it might be OP's case.

Okay, I should be more clear.

They either lack the confidence, or the game knowledge, to solo WBs. I still maintain most players could do it if they fully applied themselves.

As for the OP, it sounds like he is able to do so but is just kind of a total *** to people who probably are quite new.

If I'm not busy and I'm in the mood for clearing the WB, I'll just go over and start soloing. Assuming the guy asking for help was nearby, he'll get his completion and drops with no grouping needed. Works for both of us, and rarely takes more than five minutes in total.

I have mixed emotions on WBs.

I remember the days of easily solo-ing them, so I thought it was pretty cool when the change was made that they nearly required a group to beat. But the game doesn't keep the population to support big group fight bosses outside of rare occasions (new zone, some event going on, etc). I don't assume people will help, but it's nice to put a note out there if someone wants to do it and have a few show up.

I've given up trying to do WB dailies in Orsinium or Vvardenfell anymore because there aren't enough people around to help and the rewards aren't worth the cost. Should I spend soul gems, potions, etc. and who knows how much time trying to solo this fight for a crap reward that is no better than a drop from any normal mob (last time I got a blue war maiden shoulder with bad trait as a reward) - ooooooooo - glad I wasted all that time and the consumables for something I vendor for 40 gold. Thanks zos. I mean, I know we get a 1/50 chance at a motif that sells for less the the guaranteed motif drops you get from having an easier time running a vHM dungeon, but that isn't enough to make the trouble worth it.
