Calling out for help with WB's is not inspiring because...

1) There is nothing in it for me. Sorry, harsh truth. You want me to come along make it worth my while. Invite me to more than just one little boss on the edge of the map.

2) If I join up and get there and everyone has already killed it I'm going to be pzzd.

3) If I join up and no one else does and we two sit there like to warts on a frog stuck in a useless group together I'm going to be bored.

4) There are times in the day where the game is more populated. At high pop is the best time to call for a WB group.

5) If you really want me to hunt WB's then do not invite me to just one WB. Invite me to them all. That's where my pointed little ears perk up and go hey we gonna get some stuff done now.

I only killed WB once...4 years ago for the achievement counts.

#2 is the only one that annoys me.

What's in it for you? Why does there have to be? How about the simple fact of helping someone. If I see someone asking for help with a WB I usually go help.

Just wait until the Halloween event. Mini zergs camping every world boss in existence, you don’t even need to ask for help.

If I see someone calling out for a WB, I'll go if I'm just sitting there looking for something to do, am waiting for people to get ready for a dungeon or trial, etc. If I already have something keeping my attention, I will ignore it. I might be slightly more likely to go if I have not yet killed that world boss yet and I'm signed on my main character.

World Bosses only make sense if you want the achievement or farm for a specific gear drop.

You don’t have to join. Lots of other people do so you’re really not needed that much. It’s just nice to help people for achivements

In regards to point 3. You don't have to join a group with someone to assist them at a WB. You could just show up and then leave after.

Vanilla Zones need group pledge added to undaunted, the task at hand kills all 6 WB's in that zone.

There are only a handful of those who are difficult to solo, and those are usually in DLC areas and have quests attached. The ones in the base game have high health but simple mechanics.

Calling for help with WB?

• Some bosses cannot be soloed on every build, especially if you are new to ESO. It is perfectly fine to ask for help. ESO is a MMORPG after all
• Some players just need to do it for achievements or similar. If you have no will or time to help them, you can always put them on ignore. Just put note next to them so you might unignore them later. Who knows, they might be nice folk.
• Players that ask for zerg groups to farm bosses for sets. It is legit, speed is what they need. If that is bothering you, just use temporary ignore, like in 2nd case.
• If you hate everything, close chat. Its fine, we all have days like that

Of all the issues, I don't have any problem helping with WB and if they are downed before I get there, no biggie...takes 1 sec to port back to where I was...and like mentioned, no need to join a group, show up, kill, loot...leave...

I even don't care if I don't get a thank you...

This. I'm usually parked with at least 1 character near a WB already if not a shrine and I like swooping in and killing stuff. Do I wish the WB's offered more, sure, but it's still fun to help and look the hero. LOL.

Then don't go. Fact is, often those calling for help are newer players. Sometimes we help others without benefit to ourselves. Hashtag community.

If someone calls for help with a WB and I'm not in the middle of something else, I go and help. I usually don't group with them. I just let them know that I am OMW. When I was doing WB's for the achievements, I appreciated when people came to help me so I return the favor.

Most world bosses are solo-able.
Most WB help requests are by new players.

If I'm not doing anything I don't mind going out of my way to help a new player, even if when I end up there the boss IS killed. Because:
1- I dont need to kill it
2- I dont need help killing it
3- I only went there cz someone needed help and it gave me something to do.
4- If i somehow feel like being efficient with my time and all of a sudden kill all zone bosses, I can go and do that, I don't need a group to do it. So I'll go and do that.

There are a few exceptions; Overland DLC WB are harder and do need a small group to get through them without too much pain; But again, if i just want to do a boss train, ill just go to normal zones and do it on my own if there is no group. Rewards are the same, barring motif, and this doesnt look like a motif farm thread.

I've only asked for help once. For the very last WB I needed to have done every single one of them once. Which I also mentioned in chat. It was great, like 10 people showed up. And that is part of what I love about this community. No, not everyone can drop everything and help someone get a thing done. But often enough, when help is needed, there are people who will come and help out.

I'm not that picky and don't have to have a 5 point list in order to help someone so you can invite me to all the WBs you want.

I only ever really kill world bosses when someone has been stuck asking for help for a while, and getting none. It's alright, tag teaming those enormous freaks of nature is probably a novel experience for newer players.

1. since the one tamriel change that is true, but its hard to get people to help you when there is nothing in it for them.
2. not everyone cares about achievements that don't rewards dyes and other rewards
3. most zones have *** sets and as a result they are not farmed so the chances of getting help are even lower
4. chat has the best memes.

we need a undaunted daily quest that sends us out to kill the bosses in various zones to create incentive to help out with bosses that drop *** set items

If I'm nearby I usually swing by and lend a hand. Trouble is, most of the time when someone asks for help with a WB it's "Can someone help me with this WB?"

Worse, if you ask which one, the response back is something along the lines of "It's a WB."

I'm a lot less likely to help if I don't know whether or not I have to drop everything I'm doing and travel all the way to the other end of the zone to help some random person kill one guy.

Had a guy tell me I was really good player because we finished a Vvardenfell worldboss together, and he was only level 30 or so. I was at about CP350 or so.

I mean, I'm glad of the compliment, but I'm pretty sure they are just easy, and by the time I hit CP690 it will be a cakewalk. Any of the ones that I can't solo, I literally just need one person to take the adds off me for a few seconds and it'll be fine. If I'm with an actual tank we can just nuke them. The ones where it's like 3 minibosses instead of 1 single boss are still challenging, but usually there's a convenient piece of terrain to kite around; so long as you don't get one-shot or CC-locked you are fine.

I miss the time where I thought "Damn, these WBs are intense, I wonder if I'll ever be able to solo them..."

I actually love going to help even if it's just for one boss. If I'm playing my main the other person and I can usually complete the WB without any extra help.

Frankly, if I want to help I'll just port over there and start soloing the boss.

There are very few bosses that can't be killed solo in ESO, and I can think of no WBs that can't be duoed.
