If only one race were to get a buff, which needs it the most?

    Without a doubt Nords need to be looked at. I'd love to make a nord tank but when I see their racials I'm just not enthusiastic at all. They need something to put them up with Argonians and Imperials.
    Although Imperials should be reconsidered, maybe add some magic in the mix, make them more of the Jack of all trades that they should be.

    Tho I would like to play as a two handed wielding Nord, If they were to have but a few stam passives.

    Just because I like Dunmers. :)

    And because I'm upset with Dunmer as a magWarden.
    For offense: 9% to max magicka and 2% to frost/shock damage (magWarden's damage is magical mostly, neither frost nor shock). For defense: 2000 fire resist.
    Breton has 10% to max magicka, 3% reduced spell cost (which allows to make more spell damage and/or crit in gear build instead of magregen, and we've got a good alternative to Dunmer's +2% damage).
    Also Breton has 3000+ resist to all mag. damage types, so Dunmer's 2000 flame resist is just nothing.

    But nevermind. It's just my thoughts. I don't know about other races much actually. :)
    One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

    Picking a Breton in previous games gave a large bonus to Conjuration, in ESO I would hope for a something like a 2/4/6% damage and healing bonus with combat pets and soul magic abilities.

    In PvE, Argonians are pretty much ranked at the bottom for dps capability, mag and stam. Other races are good or at least decent for either; Argonians aren't that fortunate.

    I mean, sure, in PvP they're damn good due to sustain, but I'd still like a dps buff to them in PvE.

    The only reason there are any nords in this game is because every new player is thinking Skyrim with friends.

    Since nords are always drunk they should get 5% less damage taken or 20% off the next 4 Skyrim re releases.

    Nord. When I started this game, after playing Skyrim, I was psyched creating my big rugged 2H/ DW damage dealer. Within days, I found there was no future for that character in an end-game sense unless I made him a tank. But I have resisted that but still feel inferior in dungeons, with my DW and.....Bow

    Highborn (Altmer) and Craftman (Orsimer) have got to be the lamest initial traits. Everyone else's are situational. Inspiration and Exp cap out!


    Bosmer should have improved Companion health/damage (Way of Green)

    Khajit should have pickpocket and falling damage reduction (Raijin's Guile)

    Reveler and Wayfarer should boost their respective food durations by 50%

    In fact any of the increase exp with (insert skill line here) should be scrapped for more interesting passives
    Bretons - Mount speed
    Nords - Melee damage
    Etc. Everyone has one and they're useless

    Best healers, best tank/healers. Great sustain. They are in a great spot.

    I'd be happy with the red diamond getting a buff so you get at least 1k in HP back, ATM for dps its around 700hp which is ehhh

    So the results of the poll are in line with what I was expecting. Nords with 45% of the vote right now, which is massive considering there are 10 races. It's even bigger when you consider that certain votes went to preferred races despite them being in a great position already (Altmer, Argonian, Dunmer, Redguard).

    Hopefully the right people at ZOS take notice and do something to improve the Nord racial passives. I'd still like to see Nords gain frost/cold damage in line with Dunmer flame damage with other passives being adjusted accordingly. But the important thing is that something is done so that Nords are more competitive in builds.

    Yes, it is so strong and awesome that the Nord's best role in the game is as the 3rd or 4th best tanking race. No dps or healing role whatsoever.

    From Woeler (who is considered a very good source for tank builds) regarding the damage mitigation passive:

    "Note though that damage mitigation might sound really ‘tank-like’, but it is only nice on paper. In practice this passive is barely noticable and most likely will not make a difference at all."

    I actually find myself preferring the stamina and HEALTH REGEN on Khajiit for tanking over a 6% damage reduction (which, after block and other reductions is closer to 0.6%) reduction in damage taken. That shows just how bad of a place Nords are.

    Give Nord 9% Max Stamina and a 3% reduce block cost.

    It wouldn't do much in the grand scheme of things but at least they'd be in a better spot.

    We aren't ignoring it.
    • It's only 6% of a fraction of incoming damage. Your 10K tooltip = 5K after battlespirit = 3K after resistance/debuffs/CPs = 1K after blocking. Now 6% isn't so hot.
    • When St Olms hits you for 98,000 damage because you missed a mechanic, 6% of anything is of zero help or use.

    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    Currently worse sustain and less stam than redguard :( -> Change the Stealthy passive into small amount of extra crit damage (~5%) and we're even

    Breton could use some love too.
    Bit of extra spell resistance they have isn't useless but... not rly that appealing either. Give them small extra to magic damage (~4%) would seem like a cool idea to me. No race has that so far and would be a cool option for builds that are less focused on elemental damage

    Dunmer. The rationale being that their current "racial" buffs are not in line with any builds.

    Its not really the racials that are the problem but the systemin place that makes "stam=wpn dmg, mag=magic dmg"

    it bascially adds up to one or more of the dunmer racials being entirely useless depending on what you're playing.
