The only advantage that it brings to Templar actually comes from 1p. And that's only because Power of the Light scales on stamina alone. Besides that, the damage is lackluster. If playing solo the stun may be a boon. Also 3-4% DPS is negligible, on a 30K parse that's 1.2-1.5K extra DPS. If a monster set doesn't break 2K on a build, it's not worth using. On Templar, for solo, I would actually go for Slimercraw. That gives you Major Berserk, which ups your damage by 8% permanently and gives you ~3.8% weapon critical. That's important on Templar, since you have Piercing Spear passive that gives you 10% critical damage done if you have an Aedric Spear skill slotted. Provided you are running Rearming Trap (+10% critical damage) and have 56 CP in Precise Strikes, your critical multiplier will be 1.80. That means 3.8% critical change will translate to about 3.5% increase in damage done over a longer fight. So your damage will increase by ~11.5% while playing solo. Assuming a 30K parse with Selistrix, you will be at about 28.5K without. Slimercraw will bring that to about 31.5K. So Slimercraw will be roughly twice as affective as Selistrix on your build.

Also what is a longer solo fight? Like in overland pve everything dies so fast, like under a minute, does that factor a long fight to you? Solo you need to do everything yourself, so that 3 second stun can save your life, giving you that me to heal or get a few more jabs in to put the monster down.
