Guar and Dinosaurs

NOTE:
1. This is my opinion
2. I am not suggesting replacing Guar. I know people like them
3. I am not solely talking about mounts. I am talking about the variety of wild life in ESO in general.

As a Dinosaur and Reptile enthusiast, the dino-like mounts we have so far are...bad. They look like mouths with legs. They look horribly cartoonish nor the least bit interesting.
Also nothing of the guar suggests herbivorous. They look like they have the head of a Snake.

I understand that they had this to work with, but come on.

It's 2018 we have better technology and a better understanding of Dinosaurs. There is so much inspiration waiting to be used.

I would take a hadrosaur over a guar.

Also There actually are dinosaur type creatures in Elder Scrolls. Take the Swamp Leviathan for example. It would make a great World Boss, or maybe it would fit better as a Trial Boss.

How about some non-mechanical versions of these guys?

On a side note; the fact that Guar don't look any different in Black Marsh as compared to Morrowind is a perfect example of the homogenization in ESO due to re-purposing assets without doing anything to differentiate them. Maybe give them different skin patterns depending on where they are. They should be adapted to their environment.
Why not use the Tessellated Guar?

Also this is not an issue of dinosaurs not existing in Elder Scrolls. They do.

No no no no no no and hell no, if they add the swamp leviathan it will be scaled down and if that happens all future swamp leviathans will be scaled down, heeell no.

Well before you over-react
1. Swamp Leviathan is an example that there are dinosaurs in Elder Scrolls, doesn't mean we have to show it in ESO but there are other dinos that they can bring in
2. ESO is eventually going to cover the whole map so Swamp Leviathan could very well happen.
3. With the better technology we see happening in the DLCs it is possible that it won't be scaled down.

I think the closest you'll get is a wamasu.

ZOS gimme wamasu mounts and pets pl0x.

Or daedroths as well. Daedroths are cool.

Yeah, the Swamp Leviathan is a thing, but not in ESO. Closest thing currently is the Argonian Behemoth or Wamasu. In terms of mounts? Lots of us have been wanting a Wamasu mount for years. Get in line.

Why can't we ride on a huge mount that's probably the size of a Dragon? Hmm, I wonder what that would do for Cyrodiil, everyone riding on a huge Swamp Leviathan would cause tons of lag.

If we get Murkmire tho, I'd love to see it as a WB the size of the Wamasu Matriarch in the Cathedral of Akatosh

Not saying Mounts. I don't just want more types of mounts. I want greater Variety of creatures in Elder Scrolls.

In WoW there is a dinosaur that is massive that you can tame...

Here you can see a scaled down version, and standing over it is a glitched version with it in full size, so big you can't even see the whole thing if you stood underneath it. See how disruptive that is? Unlike WoW, you can't run through NPCs like you can players. The hitbox of a creature that size would be massive, making it hard to get around it, dodging attacks close range would be impossible, and ESO's engine may not be able to even handle something like that in the first place.

He's my pal.
I feed him lettuce.
His name is Horatio.
He lives in my yard with his goat friends.

The only way guars need to be changed is if they added more interesting colors to the ones already in the game. LOL. It's funny riding through Bal Foyen on my flashy black-and-white spotted guar, and every guar there is ... brown.

(*Edit* I wrote this five months ago, and it reads like I'm drunk. LOL! I wasn't drunk, I swear ... just in a silly mood.)
