Request to Hide / Show Tabard

Our members love our guild and want to represent it as much as possible. So thank you for giving us a guild system and way to proudly display our name. But ESO has many great looking gear sets that members spend tons of money and time getting. We do a lot of roleplaying as well and not all the characters would be wearing a tabard in character. So I am asking if a Hide / Show button could be added for the guilds who want to have their name viewed but perhaps not show wearing the tabard all the time.

Thank you for the support. Just thinking that if they can hide helm, they could easily hide tabard.0 -

In my opinion...tabard shouldn't be items, they should be a type of cosmetic category. Then it would allow you to display it or not as desired.

I love showing off my guild.. but damn, I sure love some of my custom armor getups too..
I worked long and hard to get some of those mix matched styles to look just like I want em. Costumes are nice and all.. but they don't have the same flexibility of being able to mix/match pieces. (unless you guys finally want to break down and give us a costume screen that's JUST like the armor screen where we can do so.. like some other games have done, with a show/hide by slot? hmm?)0 -

Jokes aside, I can see this being popular. Tabards can look cool, but most armours look cooler.
Otherwise maybe capes could be an appreciated alternative to tabards.0 -

Yes I know most turn off guild names but having pride in something is what an individual does. It is not as important as who sees it.0 -

While I'd agree that making Tabards act as a costume which would allow some manipulation, it should not be considered that removing the current tabard or any suggested changes is broken if you turn off the visual and the name is removed.
The two go together .....that link should never be broken so if that's the request, I completely disagree.

I might agree with you but the game already has a hide tabard but only if you use a costume. Which works for some things but but not if you have an amazing gear set a person has pride in as well.0 -
megnin✭✭✭I would rather just have "Show Guild" in Settings / Nameplates just have a drop-down to select which of your guilds you want to display. Do away with the tabard item altogether.1 -

✭Yes please. I have a few hideous less pretty tabards that either don't go well with my armor or just looks like absolute garbage. I like the guilds and I want to represent them, but oh dear lord I am not walking around with that tabard visible. Or let me design the guild tabard, pretty please.0 -
