So I cue for my daily random to get my days worth of CP so I can log after having done my days worth of PVP. Behold a dps with S&B dpsing a boss with light attack and puncture. Entering the dungeon banished cells 1 I thought it would be a quick run any group can get through this. And lo after a vote kick the two other absent minded people don't have a clue what's going on. No vote kick he's still there hitting the same boss light attack and puncture. He probably still is. It's a story that could go on for as long as there is ESO. The point of this post? Why do I get the most ridiculous people when I use the random dungeon finder but when I chose the daily pledge I get a group I can work with?

I've had that DPS. I was the tank.

I expect to have to tell ice staff using DPS "hey, you know that your heavy attacks taunt the boss." I did not expect to have to tell a DPS "You do realize that Puncture taunts the boss, right?"

For the umpteenth time, if you don’t like what you get with randoms join a freakin guild, there are thousands(?), grab 4 people and that’s the end of that. Why, oh why, do people continue to post about this. There are ALL levels of players using group finder. At the very least just level a dps, preferably stam sorc or a class with shields, l2p and you can pretty much solo any normal dungeon, the level 1 dungeons should be a breeze.

When using group finder, do not expect the run to be fast, appropriately geared, correctly roled, competent, or even successful. But it will always be fun.

I do good for the most part when i pug. Got a great tank and healwr today. Tank rez all 3 of us at one point. Fun stuff. I like meeting new people.

Its called a "random" group finder, not a "perfect" group finder......

It could actually be a bot. I’ve seen quite a few lately, both tank or otherwise who a.) don’t break stun b.) autopath to bosses. You can tell they’re bots when you’ve seen enough of them and not just clueless players. They usually have someone on follow, too, so have each real person in the group move and see who they’re tethered to—then have that person run into mobs and suicide themselves while everyone else hides.

I usually cue as tank or healer and can get to the end with any pug group. My criteria which is pretty low is if I am able to use warhorn 5 times on a single boss the dps is too low. But come on a dps with S&B dpsing with light attack and puncture and nothing else. I don't need all-star people or even good people but something above imbecile. I mean imbecile in the literal way as a measure on the IQ scale above idiot and moron since doing nothing but pressing LMB and 1 with no reason or anything above an instinctive drive qua understanding is imbecile. Like a dog chasing a ball. How they were able to even get in the dungeon to begin with must have been an accident.

Maybe the person meant to queue as tank. You know when you form a group with Your guildies for a random and the roles don't match so somebody switches but you forget to switch back? This has happened me loads. You only realise that you forgot to switch back when you get into dungeon

The funniest PUG I had was in a random normal yesterday, lvl 20s with an okay healer and fake tank that said he can finish the dungeon in less than 10 mins by rushing to the last boss past the mobs.

Well he put up a rally point and asked everyone to just rush there, he tried to through the first mob and died, while I almost soloed every boss in there, the Healer and other DPS did okayish as they stuck with me for sap heals in trash fights, they contributed about 19% of overall boss dps, which in my opinion is quite okay seeing that they were new players, the tank, well he had to spend his soul gems to resurrect till he ran and lay dead during boss fights while trying to run back from the start.

I felt sorry for the dude later and mailed a stack of soul gems to him after the dungeon was over. But I have to admit that it was very funny how he kept on saying that let's rush to the next boss and we run past his corpse and the poor guy finds the boss dead when is able to get there.

I love normal pugs, because you just cant make this stuff up.

Be thankful when seeing newbs. Shows proof that the game us bringing in new blood.

New blood keeps the servers running.

Next time, instead of tossing ridicule and rebuke, try helping them out. You may be their first exposure to teaming in this game or any mmo.
