    What immersion?

Are you magically dressed in your pajama when you enter you home - or you do it manually?

Typically, warriors/adventurers don’t take off their armor just because they walk into town. Either way, you might as well just put a costume on quickslot. Weapons are a bit more of a hassle. But if you’re on PC, there are add-ons that can work around that.

While that sounds neat, I can imagine it being abused on purpose to cause lag/people complaining about getting kicked for message rate limit because they don't understand how such a system would work. Whenever you change something about how your character looks, that info also has to get sent to other people on the server. That can be a lot of work if you have, say, a whole guild of trolls running back and forth across the town line.

You can slot costumes on a quickslot. It should work as a toggle.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

If they ever spent money on something like this I would end my subscription that day.

When I get out of bed, I simply press a button (it’s Bluetooth enabled), and POP! I’m dressed. So I obviously want that in ESO to help me fully immerse into the electronic fantasy game in a pretend world.

Please label the button clearly though. I once pressed my wife’s button at home and had to spent the day in her thong.

Sure why not? I wouldn’t care enough to use it, but as long as it doesn’t break the game and enough people want it. Then sure. Go nuts.

    ^This!^

It should be easy enough for them to add some additional "automatic toggle" slots for costumes to the quickslot setup screen, right?
Just name one "town dress", and let people slot any costume, to be equipped automatically in town as long as you are not in combat, unequipped automatically if you do get in a fight...
How would that be any more load on the system then people donning the costume by hand, huh?

Now if they also finally made all old disguises into costumes... it would be so easy, just do it the same as the Scarlet Judge - as a disguise while the quest is active, being removed on quest completion and replaced with a costume unlock for the same visuals, but without the disaguise mechanics. Since the game does keep track of which quests characters have done, it should not be too hard to refit this, right? And it would give -everyone- a nice selection of town costumes...

    In that spirit...
...they -could- also make more such automatic slots.
If they ever make verious locations... like putting your best dress into an slot such as these for special occasions, like cutscenes where you are honored by some king of self-proclaimed god... seems kinda wrong to me if my characters show up there in their dirty adventurer armor, right?
And there always could be the option to designate one "uniform" for auto-use in cyrodil, right?

Yes, I was thinking about this last week - I want one for PvP, one for Exploring and one for Towns/Homesteads.

All the people saying "you don't just automatically change clothes in real life"... well that's true, but the way you change outfits is just by switching a thing in a menu - that's also not how i get dressed in real life...

(If anyone does get dressed this way, please let me know how!)

I’d prefer an automatic duel disabler in towns first.
