Freeze when caught by guard

Today I've encountered a bug where i get stuck in first person and cannot move my character at all, I can move only the cursor. This only happens whenever i'm caught by a guard, and I can't also "pay" the bounty. After I get killed, the bug persists til I relog.

    I think they may be working on this now.


    One place where this invariably happend to me is inside the Vivec City canton just down the hallway from the Outlaw's Refuge. Whenever that particular guard on the lower level caught me, the screen would freeze and I would stand there helpless until killed. But recently, the guard will say "Halt, fetcher!" and my hands will go up, and I press the forward key, and I just run away, and the guard goes back to his post. So I think the dialogue screen may now be disabled in certain places known to be a problem. But, it's not disabled everywhere, as I can still get the working dialogue screen in other places.... particularly outdoors. So, I'm guessing they may have identified certain parameters that may be responsible for this bug, and have disabled the dialogue screens there as a workaround until a complete fix.

    If the keyboard worked, that would be worth a try. The only key that works for me during the freeze is the escape key, and that's it.

    Are you using the Assassin personality?

    This bug happens to me frequently and is very annoying.

    I am.

    One funny bug I've noticed with it is when fishing, sometimes I'll spin the pole instead of the knife. And sometimes the pole completely disappears, and you have to go by the sound of the bite only.

    So it appears to be the assassin personality thats causing the guard glitch. It also sometimes keeps you from retrieving a reward from a satchel,etc.

    Id love to have another confirmation, ie: remove the personality and see if getting caught still bugs out for you. so far my experience is this personality is whats causing the glitch.

    I've noticed that I can't open reward containers sometimes, too. Plunder skulls, Ashlander bags, crafting writs, etc. Shows me the contents, but pressing E or R does nothing.
