    Hmm...mayhap I should've voted "other".

I primarily use The ESO App, with the occasional internet search for newer items (some Vvardenfell survey locations).

I just use them as I see them but sooner or later I'm gonna have to buckle down and get them all as I'm running out of points. I dread that day

    Horrible grind

If Mages Guild 10 wants to be realistic without the use of addons/the internet, the amount of required books should be cut in half.

Where can one find an app for this? I usually use a combination of google and exploring.

There is an app on Android you can pay for its like $3.00 for the app

    Thank you!

Though I play on PC, I don't use addons.

Skyshards - I use the internet of help find them.

Lore books - I grab any I happen to see while avidly exploring but don't actively search for them. I do Mages Guild dailies to finish the skill line up to 10.

On PC, but never used any of those darn add-ons.
I have way too much fun trying to figure those things out on my own!

Skyshards are a breeze, the crypric hints in the journal -really- help tracking them down.

Lorebooks are best done during game-nights, when you can see the blue glow from afar... all it takes is enjoying wandering off the beaten tracks, checking out places the story does not take you to, etc.; and you'll stumble over loads of them.

    ...

You young whioppersnappers don't know how good you have it these days, with in-game maps and all that! Why in the olde days, we had to draw all our maps by hand, on actual paper, and check out every nook and cranny for that hypothedical treasure chest containing some nifty magic item (and occasionally fight a mimic!). Then fight our moms over it when they wanted to throw away our hard earned intel as "trash"... ah, the good old days, they don't make adventure gamers like they used to, why, todays gamers would be lost without their fancy maps and apps, now, gerroff mah lawn! :p;)

    I couldn't agree more! I too don't use any add-ons on PC.

Plus, we had to use the co-ordinates back then to work out where we were half the time!

I was playing on pc for over a year before I installed any addons. And of those I don't have more than 6. So on console for skyshards I took pics of the locations and have them on my phone. And am doing the same for treasure maps. Looking up stuff on my phone is not fun because many sites are loaded with ads and the phone just really sucks.

This one helped me quite a lot, shows everything, treasure maps, surveys, lorebooks, skyshards , maiq the liar locations, chests and so on....just make sure you use the search and restrict it to the zone you are looking at.

Memory first, all the delve type ones are super easy and many overland you just stumble across.

Then the hints which now act as memory joggers anyway. I usually am prepared to put in a reasonable effort as I go for these when I have plenty of time.

Then finally I use the eso life site. This was for some of the special ones, for example reasonably time critical behind enemy gates in Cyrodiil ones.

Reminds me, I need to go back to Wrothgar and finish up all of those skyshards too.

I do both. Usually, when I start a new character I do every dolmen in every zone, walking between them all and collecting skyshards, books, public dungeons, chests and resource nodes along the way. By the time I reach 50 I am normally at level 7 or so in mages guild and level 10 in fighters guild. And then I pull up a map online and grab the last few I need.

I also have many zones' skyshard locations memorized from leveling multiple characters.

There is an app called "The ESO App", has skyshardes, lore books, crafting node surveys, Delve/Dungeon boss, shard locations, etc. It isn't on my HUD but it is very good. The best $1.99 I have spent on the game. The maps are wonderfully detailed and you can zoom right to the location of the surveys, shards, books. There are many a website, but the maps are clunky, they tend to have UI issues when attempting to zoom in or it is one of a billion YT videos with 6 minutes of the guy asking you for a like and a sub and all I really want is the location of the damn shard. If you are on console and haven't I highly recommend this app. It is not mine and I get nothing for the plug but it is awesome, especially for alts, need level 10 in mages guild, you can get the books in like 2 hours.

I use maps on the internet just to find the blue lorebooks for Mages Guild skill, and only collect as many as I need to max it out. My gawd is it tedious

There's a big difference between occasionally looking up an internet map while out of the game in order to get an idea of where a particularly elusive lorebook is and displaying up a permanent map in-game to show the location of all of them without exploring or even reading the journal clues ;)! I for one never have a browser open while playing games and so don't use a third party website as the equivalent of an add-on - but you make a fair point in respect of those who do  !.

Besides, I don't rag on people who use add-ons, or at least I only do so on those players who use add-ons to trivialise the gameplay and then complain that the gameplay is trivial!

I run around like a headless chicken, wasting many gaming hours trying to find them.
Looking it up online is pretty much the same as cheating imo.

There are still many Shards and Lorebooks I haven't found... I'm OK with it, it's motivation to keep exploring until I've found them all.

Mainly interwebs but fishing will actually get you a lot of cheats and lore books if you keep eyes open.
