Well, if you are sure you want to use Engine Guardian, I think you should try to describe as well as you can how you use it. Specifically, what you do on different procs, how you manage between the procs and how many cost reduction glyphs you are using. Additionally, your skill setup might help.
There are quite some gear options, although using EG and no master weapon limits them, and to find out what makes most sense we need to know how well you are managing resources with the procs.

Front Bar: Endless, Curse, Frag, Crushing Shock, Streak, DB

Back Bar: Hardened, Harness, Healing Ward, Surge, Boundless/Mines, Resto Ult

Well, this makes it difficult. You see, EG will work best with large stat pools, a lot of cost reduction and defensive skills (especially BoL) to stay close to it. You have a stam pool on the lower side, no cost reduction glyphs, no Impenetrable and Streak. So unless you make some serious changes there, we can't build for synergies with EG via secondary magicka returns and cost reduction. If you look at it that way, your current build is ok in that it tries to maximize max magicka, but utterly fails to preserve it. You don't even have Dark Exchange to make a bit better use of the excess stamina you can't take into your low stam pool.

If you want to keep going for such high damage, you could try out dualwield. It doesn't take as much sustain and allows you to get another 5 piece bonus. Lich or Seducer/Alteration for sustain, Spinner or Treasure Hunter if you don't use spell crit pots for damage, Trainee for more max stats or just Necro if you would slot a pet.

If you would change the glyphs to cost reduction, this would make any sustain set, including EG and any other you may slot additionally, significantly more powerful. If you do this, I would strongly advise you drop Shackle and Necro in favor of a front and back bar setup. It would also make Dark Exchange more powerful, so you should try using that if you do this.
Some useful sets that can be used on one bar only would be:
Bloodthorn (front, sustain, dropped)
Lich (either, sustain, dropped)
Spinner (front, damage, dropped)
Treasure Hunter (front, damage, dropped)
Mechanical Acuity (front, damage, crafted; I list this only because you have Curse on your front bar, as the proc is very short. Having no addons to track it won't help.)
Julianos (front, damage, crafted)
Alchemist (back, damage, crafted)
Torug's Pact (crafted, can be used on one or both bars, requires using infused for good results; can provide damage, sustain or a mixture of both)
Assassin's Guile (the poison equivalent to Torug's)
Wizard's Riposte (either, defensive, dropped)
Durok's Bane (either, offensive, dropped)

I've filtered out all the stuff that doesn't seem very enticing mathematically. Hope this helps.

Again, I asked for a better setup to run with EG, Not a completely different build. I know what meta is, He's telling me to run meta. Obviously I'm running EG which isn't meta so obviously I don't want to run a fully meta build.
