Pickpocketing, Thieving, Murdering

Why pick, pick, pick, stick? I only ever get dried blood as a 4th. I have a chance to get dried blood on any kill, so why 3 and kill, not 2 and kill. Really into the thieving for money, any suggestions on steal, pick or kill I'd appreciate it. Thanks

I always pick, pick, stick. Sometimes in Vvardenfell the NPCs will have pieces of the style mats (ya know refine 10 of these to get _______) and then you can get like 5 picks, but to me it's never worth the risk.

i always pick pick stick. npc's usually only carry 3 item that you can pickpocket or steal off their corpse so killing on the 3rd saves that extra pick and eliminates a chance for them to catch you.

I use pick, pick stab because most NPCs only have the 3 items, but have a chance to drop a furnishing or better item on the 3rd pick/stab. Stabbing on the last one is lower risk on my non-khajiit thief/assassin.

Pick, pick, stick for this Khajiit. Location of my sticky paws doesnt matter. No NPCs finger wagging "no" at me, and I still see lots of loot, some crafting compnents and yes even dried blood.

When I'm on my non thieving characters I simply go for the more frequented areas and pick the first try for every NPC I can, because the chances are too low for more. When someone else comes along and shivs them without even picking (I mean, what's the point if the good stuff only drops on the 2-3rd try?) I then just go around and loot the corpses. They always have 2 items, the ones I did not pick myself. And yes I get motifs like that too.

Otherwise pick pick stab. Because third time is when the good stuff drops. Although I have noticed some NPCs only have 2 items, and pick pick stab usually given nothing when they die. Also obvious by the (Empty) prompt after the second pick.

Normally i pick until empty then kill. Have come across multiple npcs in vvardenfell that i picked 6 times and got a motif on the 6th.
