Which particular mechanics from other MMO you would like to see in ESO ?

Well I am curious what other features they can implement from other MMOs particularly RPGs.
Personally I couldn't get into any MMORPGs before this one since I was a teen , so I am not much knowledgeable about other games in this genre. This is the only one that got me hooked for hopping 1000 hours which is most probably less than a LOT of u guys.

Even though I followed GW2 for a long time and tried to get into various times. So I know a bit about the features in that game lacking in ESO.
Even though I think personally ESO is overall much superior than other "MMORPG" games . And the mechanics doesn't have to necessarily be realistic expectation rather also might be implemented in the sequel of ESO.

Me :- "Dynamic Questing and Underwater Combat from GW2 . And travel system like WoW.

Hair dyes of all colors for all races.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    travel system like WoW.

Yeah! I love trully open world games (a huge open world map without loading screens) and I love WoW's travel system because it gives +10000 to immersion. Sadly ESO can't do this. :(

Actually, I can't point out any mechanic from other MMOs which I would like to see in ESO.
It was fun to tame creatures and make them my combat pets and mounts, but I can't imagine such thing in ESO.
It was fun to build my own labirinth with traps and guards, and other players was trying to go through and get their reward in the end (or I was getting reward if they failed), but it's not the content I would like to see in ESO.
Also it was fun to participate in weekly PvP Guild vs Guild tournaments, how many stories, betrayals, secret alliances was there, OMG... But again I can't imagine that kind of things in ESO.
Alliance war with PvP available in every zone (except Bleakrock and other starting zones) would be interesting, but ESO had suddenly choosed pure PvE way. I really love PvE though, but I also love PvP when it is story-driven part of the game world. ESO's PvP is... don't know... it's completely pointless. For me there's no PvP in ESO.

Ah, yes, wedding would be fun. I love to see the wedding celebrations.

I enjoy my time doing the PVE content without getting jumped. If this happened I'd be done, and I'm sure a lot of others would follow.

Most of this game exceeds other MMOs I have played in every way except for housing (storage) and bank storage.

Separate balance for skills in PvP and PvE. This worked great in GW and GW2. and works great for Ambush, in this game. The only skill that is allowed to be balanced differently. because logic.

dear god, the one thing I do NOT want from WoW is its travel. so immersive to spend 20 minutes on a taxi or hop a network of portals like a demented something just so that you could shorten that afk taxi flight by a few minutes... NO THANK YOU. litteraly travel system in ESO is one of my favorite things about it. I can ride through the world if I feel like it, and if I don't feel like it - anything I want is just a loading screen away. it was one of my favorite things about GW2 as well.

what I WOULD love from other games is genuine outfit and weapon preview, especially for crafted stuff. in game option that doesn't require addons.

If you're accessing both classes fully, that'd be more of a dual-class system. Which I would still love. It works wonderfully in Grim Dawn.

We have no children so maybe everyone in Tamriel DID appear by magic, as fully grown adults.

BTW there should be child NPCs like in GW2.

Show me how many other are in front of me in the queue please. I know it can be hard to do since people can queue for multiple specific dungeons both vet and normal, others are queuing for randoms, some are too low cp for some dungeons etc. But surely it can be done since the server knows if I'm next in line or not.

Also never implement a less than instant travel system please. I hated SWTOR and WoW's travel systems. Immersive? sure. Fun? no way.

Also provide a damage meter as part of the base game, so many people don't know how bad they are. Low DPS is the number one thing ruining instanced group content at the moment.

to be fair, swtor at least always had insta travel between hubs and planets (and lately you can shrink down the cooldown to near nothing as preferred - no cooldown as a subscriber and you can travel between planets more directly now as well, so its basically ESO travel system now with optional taxi) but yeah... and to be hones,t i would even argue the immersion of it, since after a few trips on a taxi, most people just afk for the duration of the flight/while waiting for the ship or zep, etc. its just a time sink, really.

that said... dps meters are useless unless they tell you how to fix your dps. which they don't. also in this game number one contributor to "low" dps is animation canceling. or lack of there of. which... not everyone can do for various reasons, so its not like they can fix their dps anyways.

I wouldn't mind a travel system added that allowed us to travel like in WoW but to also keep the wayshire system as well. It would be cool to travel to areas by say sea and watch the landscape perhaps while on a boat traveling you can travel with other people in same boat...perhaps have potential for random encounters while at sea. Perhaps also have "caravans" for overland travel and have same of traveling in wagon or something with other people and have random encounters.

a dice system would be nice not having to rely on an addon

I'd like to see more cities or towns areas that are on the seeder side of city life where more evil races and people would gravitate to.

Ability of guilds to create their own missions/quests to guild members and make their own rewards(i.e. from guild bank or player bank).

ability to join more in game factions and do dailies with them, ability to take a series of quests to earn ability to join them even perhaps offering skill line. Examples: Knights of Flaming Fist (I believe that is what their name is in Wayrest), In Dominion there is I believe the Elven Marines (you get a uniform from quest Silsailen). etc.
When asked what he would do for a Klondike bar. Grand Moff Tarkin said "why I would blow up Alderaan."

Two come to mind. The first is obvious, cause it's asked for all of the time: A server wide auction house.

The second is more my own personal preference and that's skill-based fishing. Fishing is okay as it is now, but there doesn't seem to be a purpose to it, whereas skill lines might make it seem like something worth doing.
    Clueless, but willing to learn.

A proper auction house like Neverwinter.

It's a waste of time to go through hundreds of individual traders who have barely any inventory, outlandish prices and an abysmal search interface. Not to mention the countless loading screens and travel times. When you're for the most part better off to craft and farm everything yourself, when it should be trivial to buy from another player, you know something's not right.

I miss the fishing in WoW. I used to do it in the early hours of the morning while it was quiet, but never really bothered in this game.

I liked the weather beaten fishing hat, different rods and tackle box. Having items that give +5 to fishing etc made it feel more immersive like you were getting dressed up to go fishing.

Only downside was that I used to play on PvP servers so if you got attacked then you had to try to fend them off with a fishing rod. Good times.
