Morag Tong + Sheer Venom

I have a poison ivy themed NB that uses eternal hunt, defilers and selenes. I know selenes isn't poison theme but having a huge green bear spawn up just fits my overall theme. Extremely fun times playing this character in overworld pve land. As far as cooldown on EH i think it's just a matter of only being able to place one poison trap down at a time.

I also have the other sets you listed, but don't find their visual effects as appealing. For me, when playing a themed based character it is more important to me how the visual effects play out rather than how great my damage output is and let us be honest, you don't need large damage numbers for most of the game, save vet trials, pvp and a handful of vet dungeons.

That is what yielded the best results for me if you wanna go for a build like this.
Use noxious breath, venomous claw, poison injection and even arrow spray if needed, but that will most likely be a dps loss.

Problem with these builds is sadly that you still have a lot of physical damage on a stamina dk, which doesn't get boosted by morag, but with morag tong you buff all other stamina dudes at least.


Yields good dps (36k on 6m dummy) and fits to your theme.

stupid question but does infused work on alchemical poison?

sheer venom + viper could also be interesting on bosses? i probably use spawn of mephala on the tanking build...

i am just wondering if the 10% from morag tong are worth it if you're the only poison damager vs other sets...

No one seems to use widowmaker but it doesn't read half bad?

And i'm wondering if Swamp Raider wouldn't be better than Morag Tong if you're alone since the proc is very easy on a DK

You can also use the double damage health poison on your bow bar, it will likely be more damage than another infused bow. Swamp raider is a bad set, it only applies to your skills, not the enchant, monster set and poisonous serpent for example. Morag tong amplifies all poison damage (including poisons, monster set and other procs that don't scale with your stats), which is why it is the better choice here.

Spawn of mephala is the only monster set that does poison damage, and with Morag tong it deals quite a bit of dps.

Widowmaker is a very bad pve set, and since poisons have a global cooldown on both bars it became bad in pvp ad well. It does very low dps, yes it is aoe, but don't underestimate poisonous serpent, with dual wield heavy attacks and morag tong it does over 2k single target dps, which no other poison proc set will achieve.
