II will not be going to IC now or ever or any pvp land unless pvp is fundamentally fixed..I will always be against con trived enticements.

When you finally crack after your mum wont lend you the money to buy more crowns for the storage you so desperately need and you work up the courage to do a few circuits of the trash close to your base in the sewers and collect enough tel var to bank, as your hand touches the door handle to safety we will gank you and take them off your corpse.

Nah kidding its all good down there its basically pve. Maybe.

It isn't healthy discussion to want to make the changes you want to see based on your own personal bias. Plenty of PVPers do PVE with other PVPers, for gear and Undaunted. Wanting something changed because you personally don't enjoy it doesn't justify healthy perceptions. Just bias.

When I'm bored of PvP (fed up is more like it) I go to IC to release my frustrations.

That frustration has amounted to over 5 million unused Tel Var, stored away in my bank gathering dust with nothing but the odd crafting mats to buy with them.

My frustration has paid off

You bought a game with a variety of angles to it, not their fault if you only want to use one or two of the playstyles and avoid other parts. Kind of over players from both sides complaining about having to do pve or pvp content. Get over it. And you will have non pvp options to get storage.

Haven't we been complaining that Imperial City is empty and needs something to bring players back to the streets and sewers?

I'm sure this will bring a short burst of players to the City as opposed to a sustained population like we might prefer, but I find it hard to get mad at ZOS for trying to do something to make Imperial City relevant.

there are 2 potential issues that I may have with this system.

1. that unlike just about everything else you can buy with vouchers or Tel Var - storage boxes will be BoP, making them untradable as in sellable/buyable with gold
2. and storage containers share limits with other collectible items instead of having their own separate limits.

addendum. if costs are prohibitive in a way cost of transmute station is.

however... if costs are reasonable, items can be sold to other players and there is a separate collectible furniture limit for them? I'm honestly not seeing the issue here.

obviously its a pretty transparent attempt to get people specifically into Imperial city (if they just wanted people to pvp, containers would be sold for AP, NOT tel var), but its only one of the possible in game options so... /shrug?

Since when were storage crates locked behind PvP? I swear they said you could buy them with master writs? So why the complaining about having to PvP and no complaining about having to craft?

Besides, IC is barely even PvP. It's more just PvE with a chance of getting killed. Which is how the game should be.

Didn't read the discussion, apart from the main OP argument, but here's some little bits of hidden knowledge:

Don't like PvP, don't do PvP: easily solved. There are options for PvE players to obtain the crates. Tel var is the option PvP players have.

Leave the PvP to people that actually enjoy it. Everyone will be happy. Most of all people that enjoy PvP.

Nobody is forcing you to do anything, you have choices, you have agency.

Despite what you may think, your opinion is not the largest opinion, you're just a vocal minority. You don't believe me? Open a poll, see if you can get more than 1000 votes in total, not even talking about one of the options. Flash news: there are more than 1000 players in the game.

If you don't like a piece of content doesn't mean it should be removed from the game.

I don't pvp much. I like the idea with tel var stones. Gives incentive to actually visit the IC even more now and revitalize that. Can't have everything to us served the way we want it.
