stamplar vampire or not

i reasently created with the xp buff of new life festival a new char... my verry first stamplar.

now she is lvl 50 and no vamp nor a ww either.

i did now some testing with the standard heavy ravager dw and 2h backbar setup paired with bone pirate and selene.

for movement purposes i used quick cloack and no gap closer on my setup.

i turned out kinda cluncy and i find myself often wanting a real gapcloser and also an reliable excaping tool. my playstyle is kinda similar to stamblade: go in, hit hard and when things go wrong, get my ass out of danger.

it worked semy well. since i also have a mageplar and using verry satisfied mist form with him, this question came into my mind

only down... vamp will make her really ugly and i made her so beautifil :*(

If you want more mobility as a stamplar (and not being forced to use gap-closer) I would suggest using potions for that (Immovable + Stamina + Major Expedition). It will let you slot better skills on your bar. And unless you fight an escaping magsorcs or stamsorc you should be able to catch up to most builds out there.

As for vamp or not: I personally think the pros of being a vamp outweighs the cons. Extra regen + undeath passive is so incredible good. Only downside is the looks but that´s what skins are for, am I right?? The extra fire-damage and extra damage from Fighter´s Guild abilities are barely noticeable in my opinion.

since most of my pvp toons.. well all except my stamplar are vamps i know this ofc...

potions are also an option but since im pvping alot i see myself running out of mats/gold when i use expensive triple effect pots... so idk...damn in cryo the siege merchant only sells stam and major brutality ones

and i dont have any skins beside the undead morphs or the vma morph... and i dont want that shes looking like a glowing marsianer in red or blue...

well i think i have to say good bye to the nordik bathtowel+ nice tatoo skinned look

I don't love vamp on stamplar. The recovery and undeath are good, but mist form, imo, is meh; and if you encounter a mag DK you'll be man-handled.
My preferred playstyle is 2h/SB with crit rush as a gap closer for the quick, in your face, engagement. You can use stampede if you choose but people tend to kite themselves if I'm patient... just crit rush every time they make space.

Vampire generally works better on mag toons. My stamblade is an exception for the stealth speed, most of my stam toons are werewolves in case I ever want to slot it for recovery or run in a ww group.

I actually dropped vamp on all my classes. I got bored of heavy magblade so I am runnin light now, and sorc is also in light. I'd gladly give up undeath (which is only useful well into execute range on light anyway) and a little regen so that magdks won't *** me.

I would say no unless you are very good at evading damage.

Fire damage is everywhere and vampire ruins troll king. But the regen is nice.

I completely understand the point of view - and this is why I'm irritated with ZoS about vampires and how they interact with the Templar class.
