Could also be a small rotation problem, I'll give you the one I use. Most recent test was 40k on the 3 mil dummy, pretty much always at like 38-39 and a bit and that's with Sunderflame, VO and kraghs. It's really easy. Skills, dw bar, venomous claw, Rending slashes, deadly cloak, noxious breath, molten armaments, flawless dawnbreaker. Bow bar, endless hail, rearming trap, poison injection, razor caltrops, vigor, standard of might.

Rotation starts by making sure you have an ultimate ready, usingapon power pot, molten armaments, blade cloak, walk up to the dummy and light attack into venomous breath.

Rotation, endless hail, light attack, rearming trap, light attack, poison injection, light attack, drop Dragon standard and swap. Heavy attack noxious breath, heavy attack, venomous claw, heavy attack, rending slashes, light attack, deadly cloak, swap back to bow.

The only thing that changes is every second rotation through after you light attack deadly cloak, you light attack molten armaments and swap. You do that to keep up minor brutality which lasts 20 seconds. When you have a dawnbreaker available, use it at the end of your DW rotation. You'll only have 2 Ultimates during a 3 mil dummy cause it dies so quickly.

    Hope that helps, cheers.

Thanks bro, I’m assuming you throw caltrops last on the bow bar?

Yes sir, you'll learn when to time the swap. If you swap too fast it doesn't go off sometimes. Basically when you see the star go up I swap.

How much of a difference in DPS is having a Maelstrom bow vs another set piece? Is it really that much dps? Does anybody have an actual number that it increases by an average?

Best item in the game as far as PvE DPS is the Maelstrom bow. As far as how much DPS it adds I've never tested but I've heard 3-5k. For competitive end game PvE it is basically mandatory.

Is that with all raid buffs? Like what Dps would one see on a target dummy?

I run a Redguard StamDK and actually just tested monster sets today with two different Mundus and two different CP. Kragh is best for target dummy for obvious standstill combat. Selene and Velidreth (for me) are roughly the same DPS, but Slimecraw outperformed everything except Kragh. Warrior well outperforms Shadow, and Alcast’s CP gave me the most damage (49 Mighty, 49 Piercing, 66 Precise Strikes, 66 Thaumaturge). My problem is lag on the PS4, but I can still consistently hit 34k DPS. When I use Slimecraw I use a heavy head and medium shoulder, all other sets were both medium head and shoulder. I run 5 Hundings on the body (heavy chest), and 5 VO on dual wield (RNGesus gave me two VO daggers) and I also have gold VO jewelry. The one thing I do not have is a vMA bow, so I use a Nirnhoned Masters Bow. I just can’t get the vMA Bow to drop at all. 34k solo parse (w/ Slimecraw) is good imo, in a trial I should be hitting 50k-ish. I usually have a StamNB with me running NMG so I can go full damage with VO/HR.

Slimecraw is great if you're playing solo, but it's the same buff a healer gives you with combat prayer. Slimecraw has no real use outside of VMA or PvP.

Oh and if you're pulling good dps (30k+) A nirnhoned VMA bow is a minimum 3k DPS boost

In optimal trial I would run Velidreth, but pug dungeons/trials I stick with Slimecraw because the healers don’t always buff the group. vMA I definitely stay with Slimecraw.

Yes, vMA bow is a ~3k dps increase on your solo parse and likely more on a raid parse - i've not done too much testing without one lately for exact numbers, but you should definitely farm one.

Kraghs will usually always out perform any other monster set during a solo parse, because of the huge amount of penetration it adds. Velidreth is definitely the way to go tho; Selenes has been popular as of late, but I much rather prefer Mephala's as my 2nd choice. You can really do what you feel most comfortable with.

Alcast's CP set up is very basic when you dig into it. It is really optimized for solo play, as you have a lot of unnecessary points into penetration if you are running in an optimized 12man group. Definitely a good starting point, but I would look into it a bit more and mess with some of the values to better fit how you play and how your group likes to build its comp. (i.e - I've been solo parsing 40k with only 13 points into pen without krags or lover).

Agreed on Slimecraw, it's really a vMA monster set for a boost in burn damage. Great bonus for solo play, but outperformed by others in most group situations.

@Oreyn_Bearclaw wondering if you could help me out a little. I’m currently hitting around 38k solo. I’ve been using VO/NMG with veli. Obviously I have nirn/Infused daggers with correct traits and nirn vMA bow. Any ideas?

This is so disappointing to me as I absolutely hate vMA. I have beat it, but dread going back in, just do not have fun with it. I am willing to farm most things, but the thought of farming vMA makes my skin crawl. Without a vMA bow what are my best alternatives? I primarily run 5 Hundings (body/1 dagger/Bow), 4/5 VO (jewelry/1 body/1 axe), 2 velidreth, everything gold. Currently working on adding Sunder to the mix. I realzie the lack of vMA bow is holding me back, but what makes the most sense considering that?

Honestly, you are probably there with that gear. If you want to get a bigger dummy parse, stack more pen. I have seen my best dummy parses with TFS/hundings/Krags/Lover (some will call that cheese, definitely not what I wear in a raid). My guess is a 38k parse in that gear you are wearing is 50k+ in a good raid. Only other insight is that assuming you are running the standard DK rotation, which is essentially a big circle, is that it ends up being just a touch too long. Bar swap canceling is really important. Also, only do as many HAs as you need to sustain in order to shorten it up. I almost never do more than 2 a rotation, and only do 1 if I am topped off on stam (over about 70% full). During execute, I go exclusively to light attacks if my resources are in a good spot.
