One time I was at an Alikr dolmen, and someone's bear was standing exactly where the chest was, and everyone was crowded around it jumping, trying to access it. It was half annoying half hilarious.

In my opinion this is all about the content and the person using pets. If you are playing trials you have to know when to take the pets off that you dont agro the ads or boss and on some bosses if the pets starts to tank the boss it can ruin the run. On any other content like normal dungeon or so on I dont give a *** what people are running. Only thing that annoys are the bankers or merchants running around and you start to chat them during the compat.

Unsummon feature is realy a must in this game. Many times pets get stuck until fight ends (most anoying on boss fights) that's why when solo I use overload bar to unsummon my pets when in combat.Wardens though have no sucha option. We need unsummon keybind!
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

If it was possible I would summon 10 more bears to annoy this jerk. Pets don't block the way, you can walk through them. It's not the reason to curse with caps like some kid. But unsummoning pets should be possible ofc.

Pet controls suck in this game - there should at least be basic pet abilities including dismiss, move to, follow, stay.

Also, since you can't really interact with another players pet (or even your own), the default mouse over / cursor option should recognize the underlying object (crafting station, writ box, loot object, etc) and allow you to interact with the object.

I'm glad I'm on PC so I have the addon to dismiss the pet. However, I do find it extremely rude that the player sent that message... they could have been a lot nicer and said something like, "Just an FYI, it's common courtesy to dismiss your pets before entering the bank" or something more along those lines. I mean, I tend to interact with people in the game the same way I would in person... I don't believe in the, "I'm hidden behind a keyboard so I can act how I want without repercussions" attitude.

Your pets are fine, don't let others make you feel bad. Interacting with NPCs and objects near pets is a non-issue. Anyone seriously complaining about this needs to get out of 1st person mode and learn to point correctly. With that aim they probably couldn't hit a mammoth with a destruction staff ultimate

I don't use first person mode, I know how to move my cursor. It happens and it is frustrating when it does. What is even more frustrating is knowing it could be done purposefully. You ever done the drinking quest in The Rift when a group of sorcs comes into the tent each with both pets active? You may get the barrel, but you aren't getting the food.

I have to agree with this (though the person in OPs post was incredibly rude!) - it's always been mildly annoying in the banks or other small places, but this festival has really amplified the need for an "auto dismiss" mechanic built into the game. There's already dozens of players crowded around Breda, or the various objectives and quest givers - they you add bears and flappy pets and trying to maneuver to find the sweet spot to talk to a quest giver, or eat the pie, or my favorite those chests to pick the locks is really frustrating.

I don't discriminate, i hate all pets equally,

    keep em caged.

joking aside it would be really nice if we could have a UI QOL pet toggle. Where we simply do not see any allied / peaceful pets outside of combat. You would keep seeing your own pets, but everyone else would not, if they have that option enabled. That way everyone is happy except those that feel the need to show off, and to them I say [insert profanity] off.

I guess I should clarify that I'm a returning player. But I have never played a Warden, and I haven't played in so long that I couldn't even remember how to whisper people. So this is to the person who said "YOUR ****ING PETS ARE IN THE ****ING WAY"

Sad that someone would send that. I report things like that if whispered to me.

I developed a habit of unsummoning my pets in cities (I don't play petsorc too much anymore, but I'm healing sometimes on one). They can be annoying when preventing you from interacting with NPCs, craft stations, etc. Nothing that can't be fixed by repositioning yourself a little bit, though. People overreact a bit.

I've only ever been mildly annoyed by Warden Bears being in the way. Not enough to even mention it, and certainly not enough to swear at someone over it. Twilights on the other hand are annoying as hell.

I do think its kind to unsummon when in crowded banks or by the dye station.

Oh yes. I'm tried of doing the "interact with craft station" dance every morning.

It's great that pets don't have collision anymore, but can they not block interaction? All it takes is a few bears and twiight matriarchs to make me look like an idiot running around the crafting tables trying to get an interact prompt.

This really is something that I'd want to see happen. I've been doing the New Life quests and I've run into multiple occasions where either a Sorcerer's Twilight or a Warden's Bear were preventing me from interacting with something from the quests. They've stopped me from enjoying the "feast" on Betnikh, they've stopped me from being able to pick the locks in Rawl'kha, and they've even managed to mess up the Signal Fire Sprint in Bergama.

I don't spend much times in towns anymore, so the pets tend not to annoy me outside of dungeons or trials (where I've had them block chests/heavy sacks), but they are starting to drive me nuts doing the event quests. Especially if I happen to be doing one of the timed quests and a bear or something is standing right on top of what I need to activate.

Your kitten was likely no issue, the bear might be though. TBH it's a minor problem, not something worth cussing at a stranger for. Don't be sorry to him, just be sorry to future people too kind to say anything to you.

I admit I keep forgetting too, but then I look at the vvardenfell banks and the 5+ mounts stacked at the counter on BOTH SIDES, then I realize, my bear/clannfear/winged twilight is nothing compared to that.
    Hoping for more playable races

I've always unsummoned my pets whenever I entered a town. I always felt it was rude to have my inter-dimensional demonic monsters roaming around whenever i enter a town.
Also, you can unsummon your pets in the active effects menu. I don't know if it's different on the PC since I'm an Xbox guy.

Same on PC, you just right-click it in the active effect and *poof* back in your pokeball :)

It wasn't until I had left the building that I even noticed this message and it took another moment to realize they probably meant my huge bear and kitten. I blushed and immediately felt bad, especially since I couldn't even apologize to the person because when I went back, they were no longer there.

I furiously Googled "eso warden how to unsummon bear," because it's really not very obvious how to do it. I now am very diligent about sending my bear away when I'm in town or anywhere it might bother people.

So, just a reminder that some of us really do want to learn. We aren't all intentionally being jerks. If someone is breaking etiquette, and especially if you see they are low level, they might just appreciate it being pointed out. Or not. Who knows. I would appreciate it!

Thank you, have a good day <3

Who cares? When people whine about my pets, my warden and sorc summon all they can ;)

When I play my warden I try to keep the bear put away when not doing battle questing.
He's been away while doing the event stuff.

As for sorcerers..yeah I hate their pets flapping around where I cannot click on an item/NPC and have to move.
I don't like them so much that I'm leveling my sorcerer without any pets. Not only are they annoying but they have pathing issues and like to aggro mobs I'm trying to avoid so I decided to play without a pet.

ZoS needs to make /no pet areas and /no mount areas around commonly trafficked sites like writ/crafting areas and banks, that's the only way to fix this problem. You can often find some A-Hole on a mount standing in front of crafting booths, just to be annoying. If mounts where allowed in banks, imagine what that would look like.

You can un-summon your sorc pets on the charater page...

This is where you find all active buffs which you can also right click (except the permanant ones) to make them dissapear.

Those Flappy Things really need to be invisible, as a templar healer why do my dps sorcs have them out anyway? They get in the way for directional healing.....

There is an add on called "pet dismiss" which allows you to unsummon your sorc pet(s) with a single key. Just tried it out with my sorc and works well!

Thanks for sharing. I'll be looking to use this one.

This is the only MMO I've played that requires me to use player-made add-ons for basic QoL functions.
