Does Spell Damage Affect Pets?

Does combat pet damage still scale exclusively on max stat, or has that changed? I'm wondering if building for spell damage is still useless on a zoo-type build.

BUT Daedroth/Clanfear from Monster set is affected from Spell Damage and Champion, and seems not affected by Max MagickaDC Dunmer Sorcerer since 2014

I never seen Thaumaturge effect the pets... but maybe you are talking about the scamp. I hardly ever use him. Master arms makes twilight tormentor quite scary beast with elegant set. Wonder why I don't see more of them.It is why necropotence is all magicka.
Also OP what he said. Sorc are quite monstrous the more magicka they have.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭The Warden bear scales with with weapon/spell damage and stamina/magicka, just like most other skills and ultimates. Scamp and twilight are unaffected by spell damage, they scale only with max Magicka. I was under the impression that the Maw of the Infernal Daedroth was also unaffected by spell damage, but I'm tempted to double check this since somebody above claimed the opposite.
All skill summoned pets are affected by CP, penetration, % damage bonuses, crit chance and crit damage as well. Monster helm pets are affected by all of these except crit (proc sets cannot crit).
All forms of pets are also boosted by Daedric prey.1
