I can pull acceptable but not great dps in trials - 30-35k....but not 50ish which makes all the difference. The problem is not dieing...... for example being out of the red but still dieing to it. That places a large burden on your trial group and makes it difficult to get into good trial teams. In vma I would really like to see someone on 300+ ping post a video of a flawless run on a stam toon. I hear it possible but like to see if their experience is similar to mine.

For healer role, pick a class that rely on HoT like NB, pick skills like mutagen over rapid regen. Because it can take over 1s from the time your group mates get hit, you see their health bars drop, you react and press instant heal like Breath of Life, and your heal is applied to them. That is if you're lucky and don't have lag spike. With HoT ticking at least your group are still being healed while waiting for your Healing Ward or big Ult.
And I agree with someone above, tank probably the best role for our connection.
And just... don't get too serious in PvP
I don't have fiber, but only because I share a driveway and the front house we can't track down the landlord who owns the place. I own my house, but the rules for having a shared driveway is so ***. I'm tempted to just fake his name
The ping might be the thing that breaks it for me, but I'll stick with it for now. See how well I can get my reaction times to pro status.
on NA i go from 320 to around 260 with a vpn
on EU i go from 400+ to low 300's, lowest I got was 289. So yes, it does make a difference.
thats why i said it may or may not make your routing better. it is not a guarantee. it depends on the routing you have vs the vpn routing. and if your vpn endpoint is too far from the game server, it will make it worse.
Yep. I know Aussie players like that too.As for this topic and some of the replies, I disagree with most of them, I've seen some amazing Australian players. Hell there used to be a time when an Australian guild was one of the best on the NA server and in the world for PvE, there was even a few PvPers I know that have been amazing. Ping does not limit you at all in ESO.

because it does.Ping does not limit you at all in ESO.
Coming back to this game, I'd forgotten how terrible our ping is. Most of the time I sit around 320ms. On good days around 250-260ms but that's rare, and it can sometimes shoot to 1000ms if in cities. It's a bit of a concern as I really want to get into doing Vet Dungeons etc but with our lag being so bad I'm a little worried about it. It would mean we have less of a reaction time to mechanics that can one shot you.
How do you guys cope with this?
I'm talking about being able to complete content?-SNIP -

It does make a difference. Even something as simple as handing in crafting writs is noticeably slower on EU compared to NA, from here in New Zealand and it's only 100ms difference in ping. (Using Autowrit addon)
It doesn't prevent me from doing crafting writs, but it does make it slightly slower. So I don't know what you are alluding to when you saybecause it does.Ping does not limit you at all in ESO.
That's my experience, but YMMV.
