Why I can hold only 200 transmute crystals?

    From my understanding it's because ZOS didn't want transmutation to be a gear progression system but rather a way to help out those people who have RNG hell with things like Maelstrom.

    The idea is if you do many runs and still don't have that 1 part in X trait you just go transmog it, but gearing up still requires an investment of time.

    Without a cap people would just change entire gear sets every meta shift without needing to really play the game and work for the new set. Yes it's because they want you to grind, but this is pretty much how every token system in an MMO game works.

    its still the case right now, just keep the geodes with 10+ crystalls in your inventory, but use 1-10 crystall containing geodes for the retraits now.

    with the 50 Crystall Geodes from PvP Campain Rewards, its even easyier, stack 2+ on each char, and your main has new traited gear in notime ^^

    tbh if you are constantly sitting on 200 stones maxed limit then you obviously have no need for the stones so whats the problem with destroying the geodes? I'm the same, i just save the 50 crystal unopened geodes from 30 day campaigns rather than save every geode i come across as there is no point.

    I'm struggling just to get 50.. ha ha. My fault, though. I just been doing one or two undaunted runs here and there.

    You have to deal with the PITA of that though. Want to work around the system, deal with the lack of inventory on some characters due to that.

    Only your bank space was doubled with ESO+, not your standard inventory, so you can still purchase up 40 more slots and then 60 more on top of that using riding skills.

    cap doesn't achieve much beside annoying people, I've got 88/100 and 200+ in the mail and I've re-traited all the stuff I hadn't managed to find right trait for before the system went live,

    think you're confusing crystals and geodes, crystals don't use inventory space but you can only have 100 or 200 if you're eso+ that's what eremith was referring to.

    I have 4 50 crystal geodes and 60+crystals currently. Geodes do not count towards the limit.

    I got those geodes from the 30 day end of campaign reward and opened the mails on an alt to hold them. Anyone can run multiple characters for 25 or 50k AP each in one of the 30 day campaigns and do the same.

    Ofc it takes inv Space, however imo atleast the 50 Crystall Geodes are definetly worth it ;)

    The system is nice but stupid in its current form. Limiting players is just past practices. Why change now?

    The system is designed to give a “finish line” for players that have spent time getting gear ... but not yet in the right trait.

    The system is not intended to replace running content for the gear sets themselves ... hence the cap.

    This doesn't make any sense at all. I could have 2 million transmutation crystals, but that still won't save me from having to grind some horrible DLC dungeon if I want the next Amberplasm.

    Yes, but if you had 2 million crystals and decided you wanted amberplasm, you could grind bad trait gear in only a few runs at most. That is the point. They cant totally eliminate the grind in an MMO. The cap is actually reasonable IMO. I wouldnt mind a small increase, but the cap itself is a good idea.

    I think that the answer is pretty obvious. Seeing that within about 3 hours of spamming heals in PvP you can get 100+ transmutation crystals, it would be VERY easy to stock pile them up and just retrait BiS items as they come out.

    And btw, you can just keep the geodes and open them later...
