Should Daedra worship be banned in Tamriel?

On the one hand, several major races have large chunks of their culture tied to Daedra worship. On the other hand, allowing it gives power and followers to over a dozen very dangerous entities who do not have Nirn's best interest at heart.

    The Daedric Princes couldn't give a flying proverbial whether you worship them or not.

    Most treat their followers as things to mess around with for nothing more than the lulz.

    Plus Tamriel is a rather progressive place, and people are pretty much free to do whatever they want.
    If you really want to make a difference, go after the dark brotherhood or the thieves guild.

    No, it shouldn't be banned. Why? They are far more fun than the so-called "divines." Did your "divines" ever give you endless cheese? I think not.

    Also, forbidden knowledge is the best knowledge.

    I wouldn't mind been able to do few questionable quests for more power/additional skills lines ...

    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.

    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    I would vote for freedom of religion. I would think daedric lords would interfere with the planet whether or not people would worship them

    It would make the game feel more like an Elder Scrolls game.
