It is quite simple. ZOS wants your inventory to be cluttered with Transmutation Geodes. Those do not stack and mostly have like 1 - 4 transmute crystals. Furthermore - Transmutation Geodes can't be banked - meaning that they are inventory bound. So there is no way you could transfer them to other character inventory to keep them till you find that complete 5 pcs set of you dreams and tweak the traits a bitAccording to ZOS, you're supposed to use them, not hoard them ...

I noticed this tendency of adding one "extra" item to your inventory (that takes up space) with every new holiday event. Now with Transmutation Geodes I can say for certain that this is ZOS's new way to force people to use ESO+ for more inventory space (crafting bag+ double bank space).
Inventory space... it all comes to it. That is why housing has no storage - even though it was announced but was also scrapped fast...
Till ZOS will find a new way to encourage more people to use ESO+ - inventory will be the main factor...
Well yeah - that is another factor. You need to buy DLC or ESO+ to have access to Transmutation Station.. or just be a dedicated crafter and happend to have 1250 writ vouchers...WrathOfInnos wrote: »Have you tried transmuting something? It consumes 50 crystals, makes a piece of gear better, and solves your inventory problem.
No - it is good that you at least can store them... but for the love of god I have like 100 inventory slots taken away by those Transmutation Geodes (Rewards of the Worthy campaign rewards)So it's bad that you can store additional crystals in geodes instead of just losing them when the limit is reached?
