PSA - So Destruction Staff Abilities don't Proc Weapon Damage Enchant

They'll proc damage enchants, but the Weapon Damage increase enchant isn't actually proccing on any of the abilities used by staff.

Wish consoles had mods so we can see if things work or not.

@ak_pvp Buff tracker is a hot mess.
I only use it to see if my food buff is ticking before I start a fight.

Also it’s looking like weapon damage enchant only procs off light and heavy attacks for both stamina and magicka weapons

So having the increase spell damage/weapon damage enchantment on my Maelstrom’s Lightning Staff for my secondary weapon is useless...!?

So you mean to tell me that I in a sense wasted all of those kutas, being as I usually only cast Wall of Elements and then switch to my main bar!? WHAT!? HNNNNNG! Damn it, ZOS!

Well really you can just LA weave before or after WoE, thoufh really shouldn’t you have a couple more skills are your backbar that you regularly work into your roation?

Of course, but the goal is to usually LA weave from skill to skill on the back bar, until to you swap to the front bar. By then, wouldn’t the enchantment have worn off? After all, the enchantment only lasts for 5 seconds? 6 seconds? WoE lasts for 8 seconds (maybe longer or shorter, as I’m coming up with these times off of memory). So that’s 2-3secs. of downtime. Not good.

For example, on my MagSorc my rotation is as follows (starting from back bar): LA -> WoE -> LA -> LL -> LA -> Scamp -> LA -> Bar Swap -> LA -> DP -> HA 2x -> Repeat. Of course there is Elemental Drain usage in that rotation as well somewhere in the mix, as well as ultimate usage and potion usage. But for the most part, that is rotation. Mind you, there are of course times where I forget to do light attacks while on my back bar (naturally resulting in a DPS loss)... But, that’s besides the point. The point is, this whole time I was expecting my WoE to proc my enchantment. And apparently it doesn’t, if OP’s PSA holds weight. >:c

Why LA before bar swap? Why start from LA? You can use crushing enchant on your back bar, it will proc

yeah its been like that for a while.

the 10s enchants only proc on light/heavy attacks
the 4s enchants proc on l/h attacks and wep skills

It's intended change that was implemented long ago. Glyph of Weapon Damage (before known as Glyph of Rage) used to proc from weapon abilities granting Flurry users (which were the meta at that moment) effortless maximal uptime. So they did a change like always: "it's OP on some, let's ruin it for everyone then."
