I think what damages this game is the entitled attitude of some players.. also those who take this game a little too seriously..as if it was raison d'etre of their damn lives!
From my observation I really think some people should get over themselves...

    L2P issue

Also L2 avoid strange people who decide to ruin others pleasure purposely. Just like today in my random normal, 2 guys who queued together both as tank, healer and dd - see screenshot - decided to just run ahead not waiting for the rest. As a result everyone was dying multiple times because they were pulling attention of all the mobs and if someone else could not follow, was dying surrounded by many mobs. These two fled to safe distance and wasn't interested in returning for help. Didn't listen to arguments too. When asked about their queueing roles, got an isolent reply. So I quit and put both on ignore, but wasted a lot of time. If there was an option to check group in GF I'd decline this and wouldn't waste my time for silly people.

    I'm with the OP here.

    0dezKG5.jpg

I understand your point. I would then say, i can solo almost any normal dungeon that doesn't require a 2nd person to stand somewhere or hit a switch. It is normal, super noob easy.

Just solo the rest of the dungeon and move on, which is faster than what you done. That is what i do. Do i care that i 'carried' some scrubs through it, no. If i cared then i would of premade the group and done it, which is what i usually do, or have 1 friend, in full knowledge both of us can duo the whole thing, simply with slightly less speed.

I am doing random normals with 14 characters for this event. I know all dungeons off by heart, every boss move, every spawn most likely. Only reason i do them in a group is it faster to do so, even with light attacking scrubs.

EDIT: If you cannot self sustain your build, its a L2P issue. No heals on your bar?, your problem in my eyes. Dont be so hasty to crutch relying on others, not matter what. These are the same zerglings that when you catch them solo they melt.

Veteran group play is slightly different, although the premise is the same, take care of yourself and what your doing and be self sufficient with the ADDED bonus of being supported.

^^^This^^^ When pugging vet group dungeons...I learned relatively early on...that I had to learn to self-sustain...health and resources...only time I forgo self-heals are in trials...that have reliable healers and tanks...

    1. One would not be able to tell if the tank, or healer, are fake. Heck, for most vet dungeons I have only one or two heals on mybar. Am I fake? No.

    2. Massively under leveled is an opinion. I have seen CP160 players as healers that have out DPSed the CP capped players. Skill is more important and one cannot tell that from looking at the group before entering the dungeon.

    3. The penalty if fine. If you choose to drop the group, especially before even getting started, enjoy the penalty. That is why it is there.

What I find hilarious is, in a vet dungeon, as soon as I spawned in the CP capped healer was attempting to vote kick a CP 100 player. The vote failed and the healer dropped group, good riddance. We went on to 3 man the vet dungeon and that CP 100 DPS was not an issue. That is why I find these posts hilarious.

If OP wants to know what he/her group is like before entering the dungeon Zos already added that ability. Form your own group. Very simple and easy solution. Guilds are great sources. If your only requirements is an actual tank and high CP dps then you can form it from zone

The only part I agree with, the only part that would be a good change to GF is a check box to include in progress groups for your possible queueing.

I've already tried using logic on this guy.
Now comes the response where he insults you and says your post is off topic.

Ive yet to see you post 1 constructive thing on this thread. All you do is troll.

@Jawbone78 .... still bitter at the DPS queue times... hmmm

Nope..I queue as fake tank. Instant queue. Ha!
Nothing you can do about it. Ha again!

Here is the proof... this guy doesnt want improvements as he is part of the problem...

Nope again. I actually do play a S&B tank. Just proving my point that you can't possibly know what I play by just looking at me.
That's why your idea is silly.

You have 1 or 2 heals on your bar so you can heal... well duh...

    Fake tanks dont tank though.

Massively underlevelled is not an opinion.

CP 200 in 3 players is way underlevelled on hardest vet content.

I love how people like you try to resist change because it suits you... yoy dont like others having choice just to be penalised.

I love how people miss the point.

What you consider a fake tank or fake healer is not the same as someone else. I fake tank with a taunt but since I do not have a S&B or heavy armor and am doing more dps that the rest some consider me a fake tank.

Really, read the forums more and you will see much different takes on what a fake tank or healer is.

Besides, you have a choice and I spelled it out. Use it.

Insulting those that have a different opinion is not appropriate. It does not add anything to the thread and can easily lead to the thread becoming toxic.

I have a choice to make a post on this forum about suggestions for improvement.

You have a choice, dont like it be a troll, be constructive or scroll on by...

See here's proof! If you don't agree with OP, you're not being constructive and you're a troll.
Nothing to see here folks. Just a person who has no idea how to disagree with normal humans.

You posted you are a fake tank so dont lie... you are part of the problem and a good reason to implement counter measures like perma group blocking, reporting fornot doing role and reduced penalty for people doing their roles who want to back out while you fake role

As I've said many times. A fake tank isn't a problem unless it's causing wipes. Then yes, if the group can't move on, sure. Do what you need to do.
Otherwise, who cares? I'll tell you who..snobby players who think it's thier business to tell others how to play a game.
If it's a problem, then it is what it is. If not, please, step off your high horse.

A fake tank is a problem when the real healer is having to tank and group heal...

    Dont excuse your bad behaviour.

You want to fake tank go do it with premades and stop forcing others to suffer your selfishness without punishment of queue time bans.

    Excuse it? I embrace it.
I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. I have not, however. Sometimes I fake tank, sometimes I really tank. Not much difference, to be honest.
The runs I've made during this event..if I'm tanking, or someone else has been tanking, have been quick and easy with no issues. Killed Molag Kena even before he got to his first phase. It's been amazing.
So, see...opinions can be diffrent. Hard for you, easy for me.I'm not saying I'm right. But I am saying you're not right.

or at least show hidden CP level if exist. I did nWTG few days ago with lvl 40+ guys. They do damage incredibly well, so they are probably high level CP twinks.

This is why you can't just pre-look at a groups level and say "They are massively under geared and are looking for a carry."
Alts have CP. That means those players know what they are doing, and can do proper damage.

I placed in bold exactly what I am speaking about that it is inappropriate to be insulting to those that have a differing opinion.

I have provided an appropriate response to your opinion, explained points and provided very possible examples of how it would negatively impact GF, yet you call be a troll since it differs from what you would like.

It is always advisable to consider the ideas and thoughts of others since, if done with an actual open mind, one might learn something.

Yes, to your point that you have a choice to create this thread. You actually have the right to do so. Policing it by being insulting just because someone has a differing opinion, sees the very possible negative affects of it, is is not part of the choice.

You want to 4DD dngs then form a premade... fake roles should be heavily punished in GF.

As I have said, you want to ensure everything is up to your standards and that they are high enough CP, then form your own group. Zos added that feature at launch.

ZoS added the feature to form premades.... GF us supposed to be 2xDPS a real tank and real healer.

You want to go against that form your premade

Zos gave us the GF and set roles. However, they did not define what is really required for those roles outside of they need to be level 50 for vet and, iirc, lvl 10 for normal.

What I have stated is being able to see the group makeup, heck, even seeing the tanks health, will not tell you if they can tank or not or if the healer can place heals on their bar.

It is for you to define what you want in a tank, healer and dps when you form a premade. It is not for you to decide I do not cut it as a tank for whatever reason, however, there is no information Zos can reasonably provide you to let you know if the character I am on can handle the role of tank.

Besides, I thought you had created a thread about bending the trinity roles.

Being I can do all three roles on multiple characters and am usually in DPS or heal spec when I queue on them, I do not see how any preview would help.

Zos already defined what is considered under level for a dungeon.

So, basically in the end I suggest you use that feature you mention and form a premade to get the group as you want it. Great idea.

    This discussion makes no sense.

If all your suggestions, supposedly fixing the problem of fake tanks or scandalous newbies, were implemented it would kill the idea of Random Dungeon Finder. Basically any player no fitting your standards when it comes to gear, level, CP) is going to be kicked out of the group. Yeah, great solution!

I stopped random (maybe that's why I am still a newbie to dungeons) because exactly that I wanted to be fair and said in a chat I did not run this or that dungeon..and without a word I was kicked out. I also got kicked out without even saying a word. I have no idea on what they based their assumption I am bad.. I queued as a dps red sam/blade back then.
I had bad luck? Perhaps.. but those and comments in chat discouraged me from further trying..and not even some loots are going get me back to Random random...
I think running with "understanding" guild that knows you're learning is more fair and less stressful.

Right now I'd be happy to do a run with people who, like me, did not do most dungeons.. at least, AT LEAST, we'd have time to search urns or boxes...and not run through it like on steroids because someone has like gazillion of toons they want to play in hope of getting mythical rewards from the dubious (sorry ZOS) event.

The question is, what information can be gleamed from seeing ones group that tells you if it is a fake tank or not.

I have already explained the very real example that anyone and everyone can do multiple roles on one character without issue, if they choose to. So even seeing ones health does not tell you if they can tank or not.

So what information would tell someone if a player can tank or not. There really is not one other than they have some sort of taunt unlocked.

I hope you're not queuing as a tank. You're not doing your tanking role if you're doing DPS in medium/light armor. In the easiest dungeons it might not matter, but in the harder dungeons it will definitely matter.

    @SydneyGrey

I do queue as a tank on certain DPS and every character I queue as a tank on I can do the role just fine. Though if I am in a dungeon that does not really require a tank I usually just slot a taunt. For bosses, and dungeons, that need it I do get into normal tank gear.

Considering dungeons I am in dps gear, but tanking, I often do more damage than either DPS and no one dies I think it is just fine. It would be less smooth of a run if I changed to tanking gear as a result (much slower and more potential for deaths due to more mechanics)

Something like vet Falkreath, yes, only full tank gear. Something like vet SC I there is not much of a need for the tanking gear beyond taunt and the dps added is so much more than what pierce and WH would provide.
