1 skill line. 23 passives, one for each Daedra (not counting Jyggalag). You can only choose 1. That could work.

    Yes, why not!
...you should really pick one. Do you want them to be "playing a minor role" or do you want them "be a bit stronger"??? You cannot have both, you know... and it makes you look bad if you ask for both in one post!

You said they were a "staple" of TES and I pointed out that they have been a minor part and Bethesda have moved further and further away from those types of bonuses, from getting rid of classes to letting you rechoose birthsign (the latter of which is a bit silly even IMO).

I didnt say I wanted them to play a minor role, I said they have played a minor role. And that is in a noncompetitive single player game. If they want to put them in I dont think they should put in a passive skill line that basically only serves to punish players for not wanting to play stereotypical characters. And if they do put them in, make them count for something.

Personally I´d prefer it if you could choose passives, like in say Diablo 3. So you would choose them the way you chose regular skills. In ESO it could be done with morphs the way you morph class skills into stamina versions. So, for example, the Khajiit 'carnage' skill could be morphed into a magicka 'Kin of Baan Dar; +5% stamina and magicka regen' or something.

My quarrel with racial passives though is that they lock you into certain styles; for example why should I be outright punished for wanting to play an altmer who doesn´t use elemental magic? If that was done I´d like to see them stronger, so I could respec an altmer into a poison archer and a redguard into a mage. Might even make race choice a bit interesting.

Now weapon skills and other skill lines also have passives but these are generally (with a few exceptions I´d like them to change) always useful.

Frankly I dont think passives like they are implemented in ESO are good game design to begin with; since there is no choice to them, you just get them. There is no strategy or character creation involved really, especially RP-wise.

Passives that change based on your current mundus stone. The only real downside would be needing to juggle 13 different effects on the ability card. I suppose if it was by the stone's "class" you'd only need 4. It could go a long way towards making stones like The Lady more appealing.

To be fair, I'm not sure it's a good idea, but like I said, it's got some merit.

I like it, anyway. Adding variety and more build options like this would be fun.

i thought we were all still waiting on a "mages tower" skill line where you go and find tablets and stuff that you use to craft spell's and stuff, i'm not sure if this was true or not but a friend said racial skill lines were in the beta, shouldn't those be finished first.
    I'm a casual now
