One time only token with Warden.

If you change your main and hate it your stuck. No support tickets. No streaming ranting complaints. No forum complaint threads.

One time one token comes with the DLC and only changes an exiting class to Warden, that's it.

How does this make 1000x more sense ?

Because... people change professions. It happens. I've done it myself. When was the last time you changed from human to something else?

Race change has ZERO lore to support it, so that's not an answer.

Personally, I think they should offer it. Two caveots.

First, you can only change classes into something you've already achieved level 50 in - sorry, no insta wardens. And second, one week cooldown per character.

The only problem I see with this is Class abilities... switching to a new class should not grant you automatic unlock for class skills. It would be one thing if you leveled those skills, switched, and switched back... where it would act like Vampire and Werewolf where you maintain your levels... but for a completely new class, the person should have to level the entire class from the beginning. Why should someone who unlocks xx skill on one class automatically be rewarded by having zz skill unlocked on a new class? They shouldn't. Leveling is easy and quick... if you want to switch classes, then you should be prepared to invest the time into leveling that new class.

has there been any comments from ZOS on this topic recently?
I'd really appreciate a heads up if these things are coming with Morrowind.

No, which means they probably haven't made this decision.

Personally I'm not paying them more for delivering less, i.e. not delivering spellcrafting. I have multiple nature themed characters I made and have horse fed / trait researched, but barely played, waiting in preparation for spellcrafting. I am not paying what would certainly be an exorbitant fee to change them all to wardens now. Nor would I delete all the effort I've invested in them.

And I don't love any of the existing classes.

So if Morrowind doesn't come with a free change to warden option, or as others are suggesting here some in-game means to change class, that would leave me with at most 2 characters I would actually play and 12 mules / crafting alts. Which would make Morrowind much worse value for money.

Until they do say something, I don't know how much Morrowind is worth to me. CE now or wait until it's inevitably on sale?

If you create a class and still feel uncomfortable with lvl 10, re roll again, no need to lvl up to 50.
Im gonna think they will add a class token end of the year. They dont want that ppl use the token with the release of the MW DLC cause of of the possibility to change char X to class warden.
    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

It makes more sense in terms of realism.

It makes less sense in terms of being a good idea. Race has minimal impact and the skills are all passives based on level. Class skills are leveled through use and morphs have separate leveling. Class change requires some thought about design and would be considerably more messy to implement than race change.

Characters are also centered around their class. When you look at a guild list, you see icons for class. You don't see icons for race. Race is mostly additional flavor. True, there are RP-focused types who are race first and then class. But the game is clearly designed to make class the defining trait of builds.

That being said, I support the idea. I would never use it as I have 2 of each class. I would, on the other hand, consider a race change for one or two of them.

At level 10 you will only have the first 3 class abilities unlocked, and probably not morphed. You would have played maybe for 3 hours. It's really impossible to really know any class in 3 hours. It requires somewhere upwards of 100 hours played on a class/build combo to know the basics. Besides, Warden being a new class, it would probably have plenty of changes introduced in the subsequent small patches after 2.8, and even later, in the next few big patches. We're seeing constant re-balancing of skills every major patch. That's why I've made both a magicka and a stamina build for every class, and try to develop each of them as thoroughly as possible.

Class change doesn't let you learn about the class as you level it , I just see class change as a lazy idea

ESO should never have been a class based MMORPG. But the reality is that it is one. Your opinion is not the end all be all. ZOS needs to take into account that some people want it and others don't. One option would make them money and the other option wouldn't. I personally would love to see such an option and would spend an exorbitant amount of crowns on them

Not so simple. Of course they make money, but then do they kill their game?

I, and many others, would leave for something like this. Then it becomes who is worth more? Is the risk worth the reward?

This is likely never coming. ZoS isnt doing much that isn't already seen as a safe bet (things other companies have done to success)

A non-class based ESO would have been a game dead from the start. The SP tes model wouldn't work for an mmo. Would be absolutely no build diversity.
