Clockwork furnishing recipies drop rate EU PC server

Amount of purple Clockwork furnishing recepies dropping from event boxes is unacceptable! People invested hundreds thousands of gold to acquire almost unique blueprints and now they feel like total fools. Purples are now sold for 400-600k vs 900-1200k a week ago! And its only the first day of the event with broken group finder! What will be the price in 7 days? Why ZOS is doing this?

Sure thing. But is it really necessary to drop it in several times in a couple of days?

And why does only Clockwork drops, btw? It wasnt mentioned anywhere in the News. Why not also Hlaalu, Telvanni and others?

done the daily on 9 chars, no recipes so far nor seen any drop for anybody so you may be exaggerating the drop rate. They managed to break the drops so bad after the knee jerk reaction on the first day that we all knew they would have to eventually do something

They're doing this specifically to screw you out of your hard-earned RNG gains. ZOS has it out for you.

The CWC furniture droprate and corresponding prices were ridiculous. This sounds like a good thing to me.

Maybe they were too rare. Maybe it would be better if all furnishing recepies would cost 100 gold and drop like lockpicks. I dont care and this topic is not abot this.
The question is why to change drop rate in a moment. Wht not to increase it step by step? That what I'm talking about.

Well, TBH, I don't think that question makes a lick of sense. Increasing the drop rate "step by step" means that at some point, some change has to be made to increase the drop rate. It's here.

Well, when you farm something rare for weeks, finally get it and the next day it is sent to everyone free of charge, it will make sense to you.

I'm not mad. But it is mildly disappointing. I want it one way or the other, either let them drop in abundance so we can learn all on our crafter, or keep them rare so the one or two we do learn we can make money selling the furnishing. Not make them rare as *** for drops then event and rain all over.

My main knows 1 clockwork city purple recipe. Since it has dropped the ones I have made are the only ones on TTC and on my MM. I haven't overcharged for the item but now that the recipes are dropping as such I know I will probably never make another one to sell again.

Nobody forced you to buy the recipes for such insanely stupid prices. I hope the drop rates will increase eventually and in the mean time I try to farm few myself. Since I didn't find even one CWC recipe so far, I'm glad they are dropping prom the boxes (btw, I got 5 boxes so far and nothing interesting from them, only potions and maps and one plunder).
30k for a rare motiff/recipe is OK, 300k is pure greed, so go cry me a river.

yesterday the only good thing that I got was a single green CWC recipe and I got so happy because forever now I can craft fabricant trees. So, sorry, but as one with really poor RNG, I can't sympathize with your plight.

Ok, so ppl want cheap recepies cos they dont want or dont know how to earn gold. Then I want free legandary monster sets and 30k+ dps from lvl 1.
    P.S.
It seems odd that ppl who had never been to Clockwork City get Clockwork recepies.

Calm down pls, theyre not going to become "cheap" anyway.
And there is a difference between rare and ridiculous. For example, I farmed my vMA weapons back when you had 70% chance to get trash item in the last chest. Should I hate people who farmed them with 200% drop chance during Orsinium event? I dont think so.

This is ridiculous - a plan isn't like really good end game gear, it's not something you need. I'm sorry if you bought when they were rare and feel as though you have wasted money, but it is always the case that price decreases as more enter the game - they weren't going to stay high forever. If you resent spending money on something while it is rare, be more patient the next time new plans are introduced and wait until they are not so rare instead of buying them for ridiculous amounts soon after they come out.

Edit to add: Quick tip about things you may be angry about in future: Next year's jubilee event, where motifs drop from reward crates. If you buy something the minute it is available for silly money, that is on you, you can't expect the prices to stay high just because you couldn't exercise a bit of patience.

There is no best drop rate. It's purely subjective based on preference.

However, expectation management is important. It is frustrating for players to play a game in which the rules change on the fly.

In this case, a player may have carefully considered an expensive recipe and purchased it on the basis of its scarcity with a plan to earn back at least some of the purchase price. If ZOS did increase the drop rate on a whim, that player is put in a bad position and will be frustrated because his plan was thwarted by an on-the-fly change in the apparent drop rules.

Clockwork recipes have become less scarce on PC/NA as well, but I had attributed to a reduction in demand -- which would have slowed sales which would have triggered markdowns which would have scared those hoarding recipes into, perhaps, dumping them.

Regardless of one's opinion on drop rates, at least have empathy for those who might have been negatively impacted. Whenever ZOS increases drop rates or starts giving away everything in holiday loot boxes -- like during the last anniversary event -- players who enjoy the trading game suffer through a bad experience that can erase weeks or months of effort.

I have exclusively spent 2 weeks in clockwork city. During the "broken" drop rates, I've gotten ONE green CWC recipe. And no, I don't go out of my way to farm money to pay someone for recipes. And I would not equate that to wanting to get things without any effort. I would simply equate to wanting to see my efforts being rewarded. 2 weeks for one recipe is honestly depressing.

And the current system is annoying to begin with. When I go to a dungeon, I expect gear, doesn't have to be gear that's good for me, but it's gear regardless. All good. When I go fishing, I expect fish. Doesn't have to be the best fish, but it's fish regardless. Now where do I go for furniture recipes?

Add a skill line for increase rare items your char loots, even if it is 1% at say 4/4 points invested. I have a lot of free skill points just sitting there.

Now where do I go for furniture recipes?

You get the fish every time, it costs 20 gold. To earn 70k you have to spend about 29 hours of gameplay. But its guaranteed.
To find a clockworck recipie you could spend time from 30 seconds to infinity.
Personally for me this is better odds and much more entartaining than fishing or going through the same dungeon 100 times. So its about approach to the game, not that one is better than another.

And once again: I have no problems with drop rate. I dont like how rapidly it changes without ANY announcement (if you read it in the news section, there us not a single word about clockwork recepies).

I’m gonna say the same thing I said when the Buoyant Armiger motif was put into the crown crates:

The drop rate simply makes it inaccessible for the majority of players.

Just like Buoyant motif pages and Vvardenfell furniture recipes, Clockwork furniture recipes have ridiculous drop rates which are not in the realm of most players. There is no fun in spending your playtime farming excessively in hopes of finding a simple recipe. And I’d say the largest portion of players play mostly casually, few hours after work, maybe more on a weekend. Very few of them would spend the rest of their day farming for an in-game furniture recipe. That is why I say it’s a good thing all of us have easier access to these items. We’re talking about recipes of which only a handful have been found server-wide.

I think it is nice more people get the chance to have clockwork recipes. No doubt the prices will go back up after the event.

"Silly money" is a very personal assessment. For me spending 700k on a golden ring of Necropotence is silly money. For another - 25k on Ancient orc motif.
Aetherial dust was 45k a year ago, now its 90k.
Clockwork City was released a month+ ago, cant say that this is "a minute it is available". For all that tome Clockwork recepies were only increasing in price. And Morrowind recepies are still higly valued, btw. So there were no any signs of rapid drop in price.
All events that you mentioned are known long upfront. This one is missing duly description even after it has started - not a single word about clockwork drops.

Okay, lets give away anything for free then. And everyone will be happy, right? Maybe besides theese, who has spent lots of time for farming and now their efforts mean nothing..

There are items for casual players and items, awarded to those, who dedicate more time to the game. This seems fair, no?

That's simply not true. This game is constantly rewarding players with items. It's not realistic to expect any player to collect everything, much less loot it themselves. The idea is that you obtain some items you enjoy as loot and trade for others.
