Cannot log into game, won't let me update. I get error code NP-31740-5

My husband logged in on his PS4 without difficulty. Mine keeps saying I can update now or later, but no matter which I choose, it tries to reboot the game and won't let me play if I say later, that I need the patch to play. My husband couldn't sign in on my machine, either, without the same error.

You can find troubleshooting for Error NP-31740-5 on Playstation's site here. This error can be the result of user data on the PS4 becoming corrupted. Please let us know if the steps linked allow you to update and play.The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited - ZeniMax Online Studios
