BloodSpawn
Masters S/B front Asylum 2H backbar

Maybe Maelstrom S/B I dont know. None of them are really super great.

Trying to find some way to make these lovely endgame rewards work. Whatcha think? Could it be any good?

Gearing for more WHs kinds went out the door last year.

Problem is, when it matters, groups have a WH rotation so if I just used my horn and yours is now ready your going to have to wait. With that one if your sets ft negated.

Also, stacking 2 ult cost reduction probably doesn't stack so nice. Just like stacking 2-10% mag regen doesn't give 20% more mag regen.

Most content can be tanked in anything. Much if it really doesn't even need a tank. So, basically. Have at it and have fun doing it.

bloodspawn and dragon set, that looks very meta to me.

tavas is no longer viable so you replace it with potentate and mastet weapon, how is it "differently geared"?

Oh yeah, and I found some gold potentates jewelry pretty cheap in a trader. So trying to find a way to make all this shiny stuff work.

Trying to find something to do with these otherwise garbage endgame rewards.

Is this a PvE or PvP setup?

In terms of ultimate generation Bloodspawn is pretty unreliable, and the resistance buff will be mostly lost in PvE since you are already close to the cap running 5+ pieces of heavy armor.

Asylum 1H+S set is good mostly for PvP magicka builds - except sorcs, which can do dark conversion - since you can recover both resources by consuming stamina and mitigate the damage from one incoming spell. Master is pretty lack luster even after buff. Maelstrom set is probably the best for both applications since on a stamina character heroic slash will do decent damage, and some stamina classes do make good use of that magicka - sorcs can dark deal it back to stamina, and DKs ca use for various utility spells. But all 3 sets are kinda weak for PvE, where you are better off with 1H+S part of a 5p set.

Potentates set is good at first glance, and it comes with weapon, and potentially shield, but that means you will have to run another piece of jewelry from the 5p set. Which will open up 2+2 or 4/5 slots. Probably best as jewelry though, since it opens up the weapon slots for one of those sets and a monster set. But overall I think Werewolf's Hide set beats Potentates and 1H+S set combo in terms of pure ultimate uptime, if you can get weapon and/or shield from that set. If you are a DK you can use 1 Chocklethorn 1 Shadowrend combo for 260 extra magicka recovery, use with Whichmother's Brew and slot Barrier ultimate on the front bar, even use 1/5/1 setup to stack about 2K magicka recovery and cast ingenous shiled ever 6s for even more reliable ultimate generation.

    Not necessarily.

You can take out bloodspawn and go with dragon, hide, and potentates.

Your setup would have 3 pieces of potentates on your warhorn bar while your front bar/block bar would have 5 pieces of hide

Unfortunately, you'd have to give up one or two potentates pieces but at least with this setup not all of them would be wasted

2p potentates is stamina recovery, which will be mostly wasted on a tank. You can do another thing though: front bar WW hide to gain ult, then back bar Potentates and cast the ultimate from there. Namely run both WW weapons on front bar, 2 body pieces - preferably hands and waist - and one jewelry slot with 5 Dragon on the other armor slots to still have 5 heavy - then 2 Potentates jewelry and 1 weapon or shield from the back bar. You will always spend most of your time on front bar to proc WW hide, then switch to back bar to cast your ultimate because you will benefit from Potentates cost reduction.

Another set that springs to mind is Alteration mastery that reduces all your ability cost (magicka, stamina, health, ultimate) by 6%. But you won't find those jewels at bargain prices and the set is light armor only with arcane jewels.
