No offense to you or other Community Ambassadors, but you don't deserve a voice in this discussion unless you play by the same rules and switch back to a generic avatar like the rest of us are forced to. That's a plural "you", btw; your personal avatar is probably the least customized of them all, so it wouldn't make sense to single you out in particular, especially when you are aware of your position in this whole situation.Whilst I agree with you, it becomes a weird thing where people are more likely to go for edgy avatars than they are to post an image. I don't know why, that's just how people are.Storymaster wrote: »As much as I'd love a custom avatar, I don't think ZOS have the man power available to moderate the inevitable filth people would upload.. including myself.

How would that be any different from moderating inappropriate images in posts? We have the freedom to post whatever images we like at the mercy of moderation. Why would avatars be any different? Users can be reported just like posts can be reported. It is the same thing from a moderation standpoint.
I can't have a Sheogorath avatar or a Cheese avatar because one isn't available. Would be great to be able to select our own for sure!
I personally would rather not have personal avatars (I know, hypocrisy from me) as if you look at something like the Bethesda forums it looks much more tacky than our forums.
I played by those rules for three years, my opinions then were the same.No offense to you or other Community Ambassadors, but you don't deserve a voice in this discussion unless you play by the same rules and switch back to a generic avatar like the rest of us are forced to. I wish there was a way to have a portrait of one of your characters that with a filter would make it look like a painting (in the style of the current icons). There are already like one or two icons that look exactly like it, that come from a concept art of two dresses from the crownstore. They are clearly based off the actual ingame models but look painted.
Wait... a way to not have a lighthouse you say... I'm listening.
On a serious note it would be good to add a bigger selection of avatars, however if @Rohamad_Ali ever changes his I won't be happy. That avatar is his now, I won't ever not see it and think it's a post by him.
Actually, it should be a fairly simple bit of coding to take an image from the character select page and use that as the forum avatar. A simple button on that page could be enabled to use the face of the currently shown toon.
