Bonus points on this that he said he was leaving the thread, and then proceeded to post another seven times.

I know, I can't help it. I meant to leave the thread, I even left home to go spend time with a friend, came back two hours later, someone tagged me this stupid thread had 4 more pages of complete drivel and I just couldn't leave it alone.

Yeah, I didn't intend to come back after posting the bearded dragon, but... here I am. I think this may be purgatory.

I don't have time to read all 6 pages of posts so apologies if someone has already said this... but it IS possible to outrun a Flag Boss in the Sewers. If you can make it to a door without getting hit for a few seconds, you should be able to enter. I have done so at least twice, and not that long ago, though I couldn't tell you what colour their flags were.

Cloak can also let you break aggro if there's no line of sight. Obviously, you can't do that while standing next to them, or if you're a Templar, but the option exists.

You're the only person having trouble here guy.

nah, i have trouble too. but when i first went into the sewers and saw a big ugly dude with a flag stuck to his back like a 'kick me' post it note, i didnt immediately think 'this guys gonna be a piece of cake'. i waited til i had company, and then we combined went and kicked him like the flag says.

this whole thread is ridiculus. in a nutshell:
player has no idea what hes doing. gets butt handed to him. whines about how the game sux because of the mechanics, that he didnt understand, and didnt take into account. but claims in the same post that he had no issues with one of the other bosses, proving that the mechanic isnt that big of a deal. he just thinks he should be able to solo everything.
any suggestions, criticisms, well, they respond with 'you solo it and show me how'. then says 'i never told you to do that'

in short, you soloed the other boss. mechanic works perfectly fine. right?

That moment a PvEer discovers Battle Spirit.

When I'm too lazy to change builds/gear, I'll just run around IC in my PvE Land build/gear, and it works fine against any NPCs in there.

(My PvE overland gear for soloing WBs is full Light Armor or 5/1/1 which is ~14k HP in PvE Land and translates to 20k-something in IC.)

    L2Sewars issue

Banner bosses (guys walking around with those "flags" on their backs) are bad mkay?

Blue=low level banner boss, tough but can be taken out fairly easily
single red (red means bad)=bit more dangerous, needs a competent small group
double red=very dangerous and a real pain to take down. Will usually kill one or more people in a group trying to kill it.

The double reds walk around the sewars like they own the place (and they do).
I always imagine they are singing "I'm too sexy for your party, too sexy for your party.... " when they swagger by.

    Laksilkus, BFT88?

I'm logging but feel free to send me a PM when you are prepared to show me these mad skills you have and how easily you can do what you mock me for being unable to do.

First of all, not everyone is capable of soloing one of the 'world bosses' in iC. None with pve healer build like yours.
Second of all, there are 4 ways to exit IC(character unstuck, log off and log back in, teleport scroll, and sewers. You could also look which district leads directly to outside of your Sewers base and take that). You could've went, do your job and leave without fighting a single mob, but instead you walk all the way while body pulling wverything you see.
Last but not least, nerfing the damage to mobs is not possible, since the 'nerf' comes from a buff so that would mean to players too, which would be really big issue for pvp

So yeah, as people said you did smth stupid out of not understanding that aspect of the game and then come here to *** how stupid it is

Not being harsh, but you need to apply some logic. It's a tough zone, if you are taking on PvE content in there solo its quite natural to need more DPS. Thus changing your setup a fraction to offer more DPS is common sense.

You say your are off PvP because of it, but it sounds like you are struggling with PvE in a PvP zone. PvP is always in need of healer and heals cut in half or not they make a huge difference. And honestly Templars etc are OP as heal in terms of out healing damage. If the 50% was lost they really would be unkillable.

Everyone's first encounter with Imp City is hard. I recall mine was. But if you learn the zone its one of the best, and its best played with friends.

Also are you in a tradingguild..? Most decent ones will have the crafting station in their house to use....

Honestly, get some help rather than work against the content and you will be ok.

I recently went into the sewers for the first time last week and it wasn't too bad cuz I was just checking it out a bit and wasn't there long. Last night, however, after doing a master writ, I got so lost and ended up so far away from my alliance base, I just stood in the middle of a mob and let them kill me so I could res back at the base and get the heck outta there, lol.

    Sounds like 2 issues.

    1. DIfficulty levels of the bosses/mobs

I like this. Its the only interesting zone for me - since all other overland areas are too easy. I like that there are mobs roaming that I have to avoid when alone - it's one of the very few remaining bits of non-instanced PVE that still have a bit of challenge.

    2. Battle-spirit.

Stuff is halved.. but damage to mobs isn't (seems to be the crux of the issue). But going back to 1. you have to ask, how is the difficulty set? The Dev's want a particular mob to have a certain level of challenge. To obtain that level of challenege, there are a number of factors that they can tweak - resists, CC health, damage done etc... All on the mob. These are all balanced with what the average player can do already in mind.
Now if they were to change what the player is capable of (by halving or doubling damage done) - surely they will also have to adjust the mob parameters if they want to keep the same level of challenge.
If the balance is currently correct in IC, then halving damage done to them will have to result in halving their health to keep that challenge level the same.
Basically it becomes almost irrelevant whether damage/health is halved/doubled or what as long as the challenge level is what Zos want. They could potentially change it to half damage done - which may also mean they decide to halve all the mobs health down there - but why spend all that time/effort when the net result would be nothing?
I'd much rather they spent their time on other stuff instead.

    Minalan owes me a beer.

It's a PvPvE zone. I don't get what the problem is. The main point of the IC is pvp, the PvE is an environmental hazard. It would diminish the pvp by not halving healing. And personally I enjoy the extra challenge. Especially doing things like the arena.
