Its nice to see someone stopping to smell the Rose for once. Even if that Rose still has thorns.
Don't forget to mention how the rose is "growing strong". Boooring! What are you? A poet? Here, I got one for ya:
No matter how much you cover the dung pie in icing, it stays a dung pie. There you go, true poetry.

What are you? A child on the playground breaking other kids sticks? "Stop to smell the Roses". It's a saying, not poetry. I tried to bring some positive to this god forsaken Forum alongside the OP.

Jesus, the immature mockery I have to put up with in this community sometimes.

Ever since this episode of "The Walking Dead" I've never stopped to smell the flowers...

Every once and a while (server maintenance time frame) I visit this quarenteened area of the world and parkour may way across the place killing Zombies and retrieving survival supplies for the survivors that saved my life..... They added a feature since release to host 4 other players in your game but it's not the same. Hosting means lag, The number of activities is far less. You either have area chat (Horrible if your not face to face ) or psn chat. bah. The controls and views only function in first person and everyone looks the same as the next guy. Nothing like 4 versions of yourself. Weapons and "crafting" are mediocre. It fills the void when the server is offline for maintenance, but it won't take ESO's place. <3

I've played other games as well, but I love the Community, my guild mates are awesome. We stay busy with many activities within the game. Dungeons, trials, quests, contests (we create), tours, challenges and others. We have fun. For so many who take time to complain that nothing good is here, well, you won't find it. If you keep looking for the bad, then you'll find bad. If you look at everything done right, then you'll find the good. It's about prespective. Yes things need repaired, and when they do its frustrating, but giving time to find and create repairs is something that we all must deal with, and remember the folks creating and repairing things are human, they can make mistakes too. Its also important to know that one keystroke error can crash an entire line of coding.

    You're comparing:

    - a AAA MMO which was developed with a budget rumored to be upwards of 200M and owned by one of the largest and most successful publishers in gaming.

    to

    - to a niche survival horror game funded by 1M Kickstarter and published by Gun Media which has 5 employees according to Wikipedia.

    Sounds reasonable.

ESO is a very good game. As far as gameplay wise I think it is great. Both PvE and PvP are great.

The problem is-it literally doesn't work. The game does not work. Bugs exist in nearly every facet imaginable, and the server quality is literal garbage. It is the worst performing product I have ever used of any kind, by far, and that is not an exaggeration.

Improving performance is one of the top things the devs should be working on if they want to make the game better.

It’s a beautiful game that’s absolutely amazing that we can’t play!

That was the game I happened to have an experience with, so that is the comparison I had to go on. Should I have compared it to a game I haven't tried?
Pretty sure the price wasn't reduced due to their humble beginnings on that game either so if they want to charge full price they should live up to full expectations.
Lastly let's all weep that wikipedia is now being quoted as fact without another source.

I dislike the execute and feeding (vampire) button being the same. If I want to slice someone's throat and I am misaligned a bit I suck his blood. Very bad.
I also dislike the loading screens and sound issues I have in PvP.

Sometimes I play other games, some of which are very clunky or run poorly, but I never have when I return to ESO I forget about all it's issues.

Some things are done right in ESO, some things are executed poorly. I play since beta so that's a long time already. But I also still play the original Doom weekly using Zdaemon for online matches and I still occasionally login to Starwars Galaxies (on emulator).

Overall ESO is an ok game. PvE I think is very boring after doing all quests once, but the first time I really like doing these quests. PvP has it's issues. But since it is (currently) the only AvAvA game I like and has castle sieges in it (and because it has the Elderscrolls title) I still play the game.

But when I play another PvP game with lags, hacks and bugs and come back to ESO I still get pretty annoyed by the loading screens, sound issues, lag, animation cancelling (yes, I just dislike it but that my opinion. some hate it, some like it. don't hate me because I dislike it).

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

That's what happens when you have a forum policy of "Lets accept the Trolls and haters." Never mind that they don't actually play the game and basically hang out here to cause grief and misery.
