Is there a way to disable the blocking "Floating Shield" Icon?

Hello there,
I remember that in past it had already asked and there was no solution.
As the title says, is there a way now to disable the floating shield icon that pop up when you block with any armour?
I know it's a real ingame model, not a simple Icon, but maybe now is there an Hidden option to hide it.

Unfortunately, no.

You need this big glaring graphic to tell you that your holding Block. Because, you know, having your weapon or shield held in front of you did not convey that.

Look on the plus side. You have a summonable pretend Glass styled shield you can show to all your friends.

If this icon only appeared when blocking with the Ice Staff
as a sort of symbolic means of conveying that block was being made with Magicka rather than Stamina
would actually kind of like it

True, that would make it kind of cool.

But there is no way to disable it in game, and unless it was silently fixed outside of the patch notes, there is actually a glitch where the blocking icon can get stuck on your character, so you'll be running around with a giant block icon floating awkwardly in front of your character at all times.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom please go find the the dev team (bring red bull) and tell them to add a toggle for the floating block model. It's been around the 2 year mark for this block icon and we pretty much all still would like the option to turn it off. Just think of all the role playing screenshots that are probably being ruined as we discuss this unfortunate situation! We can't be breaking their immersion Gina, that's not cool.

They could decrease the transparency maybe, if they don’t want to completely remove it

Y'all are playing dumb on purpose. You just want it gone so people in zergs have a harder time seeing you are holding block in hopes they don't try to break your block. As if holding block indefinitely isn't lame enough.

Is there a way I could turn off my cloak animation and the brief red glow from when it's activated?

I don't see the problem if you disable the effect just on your own pc.
We are asking for an option. It's ok if people see me blocking, i just don't want to see those floating icons in my pc.
Do you know that you can even disable red rings inside the options? It's pretty the same thing.

If I disable the shield on my pc I don't see how a Zerg can have harder time to see it.
Exactly the same as if I remove healthbars and red circles other people still see them...

Actually you can remove from YOUR game:

-Healthbars
-Alliance Icons
-Red and Green Circles
-Red aura from enemies, White from npc and Yellow from interactable.
And many other stuff, like quests givers etc.

I play with all of those removed (except alliance icons), do I ever troubled you, zergs or other people by disabling these features on my pc?

Edit: Sera, looks like you are trying to playing dumb or purpose. Or you are one of those creatures that regenerate and lurk under bridges.

I know this post is old but it is the most recent one I could find and also it is nr 1 on google searches.

Please Zenimax make this toggle-able, it really breaks immersion too much.
