THIS is not a discussion about the 3 horses already earnable ingame since the game launched 3 years ago... so should mounts be earnable ingame through achievements and some for straight purchase for gold with no achievements?

The nix ox is a step in the right direction, but there should be guars and permanent buyable mounts for every chapter and a limited time mount as an incentive to buying the game when its newish, like the nix hound2 -

Horses should be the only ones you can buy with gold.
Some of the more common mounts (Wolf, Lion, Bear, Camel) should be locked behind either:
a) the faction quest lines OR
b) random drops in normal/vet trials
Keep the rest of the really cool ones in crates. I'm 100% for micro transactions as a legit source of income for consumers, people should just be aware of what they're buying.2 -

I hate dungeon drop mounts that require nothing but getting lucky, and to be honest, we already have unique skins filling that role.

There are 4 horses you can earn in game, that is good enough for me, although it annoys me now they have no difference in functionality they still have different prices.
You are not being forced to do anything.... I used my standard horse for a year without even considering getting another mount... until I got one in one of my free chests from the reapers event.
You don't need a DLC house at all, if you don't have the money to spare for it don't spend it. Let the people with too much money spend thier money on it and you make do with one of the many other options purchasable with gold.3 -

I loved the Precursor quest to earn a robot combat thingy, and it did put a smile on my face to earn such a thing and not just throw money on it. I appreciate ZoS need to make their money, but the occasional earnable mount couldn't hurt.
For example, all the guilds could have their own mount you earn. Thieves guild: a mean looking horse with spare daggers on its saddle. Mage guild: a horse with sparkly effects. Sadly, that ship has sailed, been set fire to and sunk ages ago.
Now... with the BtP and crown store model...
...if they have their designer people spend paid time making a nifty mount, the suits in charge will want to see some extra profit to justify the extra expense.
Thus expect ALL additional mounts to show up in the crown store, without exception.
So it makes no sense at all asking for something we all know won't possibly happen.

I say no for two simple reasons. I like that ESO does their best to make money off options that have no impact on player performance (mounts, costumes, etc.). Also who needs the massive amounts of negative posts that would happen because players don't like the "look" of the earned mount0
