Yes I'm such a cry baby because all it requires to win a fight against a medium armor player is to activate your Soul Assault. God forbid we make it so some intelligence is required to be victorious.
How do you think Magicka builds feel about Shuffle?
Its frustrating as hell gap closing a Shuffle user (and them passively dodging it and its CC), and unloading Puncturing Sweeps on them only to have atleast 2 of the Sweeps fail to connect...
In the mean while, every single attack the Shuffle user uses against you lands flush...
The way I see it, we use Soul Assault to counter the cheesy gameplay Medium Armor users bring to the table...
Afterall, the best way to counter cheese is with cheese of your own...
Since when does shuffle kill magicka users? Shuffle and roll dodge are the main defensive mechanics of medium armor. Just because u find those mechanics frustrating for whatever reason even tho there are a million different things that go through dodge, it doesnt mean that you should have an "i win" button against them.
If you want to equate soul assault with anything then imagine an ability that kills ur templar in 3 seconds without u being able to do anything. And then you come here to talk about cheese.
Its truly astonishing how clueless some of you people are.
Its not my fault that these medium armor builds are so heavily glass cannon...
You know the type; you see them everywhere:
4000+ weapon damage, barely have 20k health (and sometimes sub 20k health) even with Battle Spirit, all the while expecting to get away with being pure glass canon solely with Shuffle allowing them to passively ignore incoming damage...
If they would character build with more defense in mind they wouldnt be melted so easily by attacks such as Soul Assault...
Its a learn to build issue in all honestly...
Oh and there will never be an attack that kills my Templar in 3 seconds without me being able to do anything about it...why?
Because I built my character with the ability to withstand damage...
Some of the medium armor builds here need to learn how to do that as well...
@KingJ
I wrote this way back near the beginning of the thread; maybe your memory isnt that good to remember it though...
Less offense...more survivability.
Ultimately the thread starter agreed with me...
Now silence your ignorant ranting on this topic...
Again you ignore that.No ultimate does this to a light armor build,or heavy. No ultimate drains all you magica or stop your magic regen.Or a 70% snare.
Hey from someone who doesn't know how the game works I see why your getting so angry when people prove you wrong.Again no matter how you change your build everything i listed affect you if you run a Meduim build.Your just going to ignore my post and call me a name again since you refuse to admit your wrong.
You fool, I gave you a solution on a silver platter and you keep spewing nonsense...
There are ways for Medium to deal with SA but you are so narrow minded that you've closed your mind to them...
You can slot Elusive Mist to deal with SA and other big attacks in an emergency (its extremely effective vs Meteor and Destro Ult as well)...
The base cost of Elusive Mist is around 7k+ Magicka so a Medium Stamina user should be able to cast it once in an emergency on demand (you should have around 9-10k Magicka by default)...
Elusive Mist solves all the problems you have with SA...
It will reduce SA's damage by 75%...
It will remove SA's snare...
It will grant you Major Expedition for 4 seconds (which exceeds the channel time of SA)...
You will be able to regen Stamina while in Mist Form (and with a 10% bonus might I add)...
But once again, you are unwilling to change and adapt...
You want to run the same tired builds (and you are simply a clone of someone else's successful build btw; just like many of you here) and then complain because you get owned with SA...
There are solutions, but you need to open your mind to see them...
At current your thinking is too limited, so all you can do is beg the Devs for a nerf to SA...
This is garbage thinking on your part and shows no ability to think on your own...
Learn to think on your own...
Cheers!
Again you didn't think of none of the solutions you waited for someone else to provide the answer because you don't know what your talking about. If @Lord-Otto Never mentioned Mist form I guaranteed you would have never mentioned it.Your so full of crap its ridiculous.TheDoomsdayMonster wrote: »You don't play Meduim it hurts all Meduim builds no matter what you run.In my post I didnt mentioned damage once now did I?I mentioned everything else it does,Stam drain,70%snare,No regen tick while blocking and its undodgeable. Each effect Meduim build no matter how you build you character.Nothing you can do about any of those issues in a Meduim armor build. If you run Meduim armor tanky or glass cannon these affect you more than any other armor type.TheDoomsdayMonster wrote: »TheDoomsdayMonster wrote: »TheDoomsdayMonster wrote: »Once again the cry babies start on the nerfs.

Here is another way to look at it... If there were an ultimate that drained 65-85% of somebody’s primary resource and did ZERO damage, I would run it. It’s that strong. When you throw massive damage on top of it, it’s a no brainer. Don’t waist your time with this clown anymore. He is a lost cause.
Yeah, but I'm smarter and more creative than both of you combined...
So you admit that you are unwilling to adapt your build for dealing with SA and instead are content to cry for nerfs because of your narrow minded vision...
Concession accepted...

So lets look at how the ability works a medium stam user usually won't have the max magic to use a 7k magic dump that I can only use once if I don't use any of my other magic abilities that I need.So to mist form that means during the fight I can't use for example on a stamplar purge more than once,On a stamblade can't use fear/shadow imagine,Stamdk igneous shields for sustain/healing bonus and stamsorc I can't dark deal or streak. While in mist form I can't regen magic but again doubt you knew that. So that means I can't use none of my magic utility because I wouldn't have any magica.Lets talk about vampire while yes you get the 10% extra stam and magic recovery you have to deal with 25% extra fire damage and fighter guild abilities which on magic builds who have shields or instant heals don't hurt as bad but on a stam build we only have HOT so if we are low and get hit with a undodgeable ability we can't we can't out heal the damage or DOT.
None of the solutions that other people have provided for you is a good solution and again show why this ability only hurt medium stam builds the weakest armor type and not light or heavy armor builds. Please come up with your own solution not one someone else made for you.
@TheDoomsdayMonster what my build what my main character?Who build do I copy?
Just because we say your build is bad its not because some streamer didn't try it and run it we say its bad because it's bad.I play everything but magdk I prefer stam classes I spent millions of guild farm trials to test out different setup and spent weeks farming.Their countless light magplar setup that's better than yours from my writing this if you want to keep the free shield from combat physician your better off going for Julinous since it boost all your damage and healing not just your vampire abilities.i'm one of the few people who know Physician shields scales most sets that does that like whitestreaks is static or that overwhelming surge is amazing set,I bet you didn't know Templars can proc surge damage from rune focus and repentance which cost nothing.
Now your lying wow doing anything to admit your not wrong. You haven't thought of 1 counter not one people have posted them then you come in hear and take credit for it.TheDoomsdayMonster wrote: »Again you didn't think of none of the solutions you waited for someone else to provide the answer because you don't know what your talking about.

@KingJ
Blah, blah, blah...
I've tried to help you, but you are hopeless as you simply cant adapt...
SA will own you forever more hence forth...
You are doomed to die an agonizing death by having your Soul torn apart over and over and over again...
The Grim Reaper looks forward to seeing you; knowing your vulnerability to Soul Assault I'm sure you'll be seeing him sooner than later...
Cheers!

Yes, I agree. And I still think hard counters of any kind don't belong. This isn't Pokémon. Your skill should decide a battle, not your counter type.

Then we have our temporary solution. People should just go vamp and suffer the same 10k Dawnbreakers as MagDKs and Temps have since... ever.
Plus, the more bloodsuckers, the bigger my family!

Then im not sure why u defend SA. You just said how bad it is.
I don't? Never have?
I'm just saying, from my personal experience and observations, good people can deal with it. That's why I eventually dropped it for Dawnbreaker. And now, as you know, Rune Cage does it for me well enough.
That doesn't mean I'm fine with it being in the game. The thing with hard counters like SA and SB is, that while you can deal and exploit them in 1v1, it gets exceedingly more difficult in group play. Dedicated counter players are affordable in big groups, you can't risk specialization in small ones. This is another number empowerment, and that is bad for the game.
But apparently someone finds SA ok because shuffle can dodge the initial cast on entropy.
Ha, ha, ha...
I'm through arguing with you; its not getting us anywhere...

Cheers!
Leave soul assault as is. Just give people the ability to bash it. That is all. This will add a certain skill element to using the ability, because you can't just lolcast it like you can now. And it adds a reasonable counter other than draining all of your stamina, not to mention you are 100% *** when you don't have a full stam pool at that moment. We are just asking ZOS to be reasonable. Oh and there will never be an attack that kills my Templar in 3 seconds without me being able to do anything about it...why?
Because I built my character with the ability to withstand damage...
Some of the medium armor builds here need to learn how to do that as well...
@KingJ
Cheers!
You gotta give to get and I knew about Mist Form being a good counter for Stamina builds vs SA because I've seen it with my own eyes...
There are other ways for Stamina to deal with SA as well, but I've done enough thinking for you...
You just stick to being a copy cat and being unable to think for yourself...
Ok?
Cheers!
Again I explain to you why something doesn't work and you ignore it.Someone can bring up numbers to you and you ignore it its sad now.
Don't worry, just slot mist form on a medium armour stamina build.
Mist form is very sustainable on a medium armour build
I don't believe making SA bashable would solve the zerg problem with it.

I'd be ok with it being bashable...
That seems reasonable...

But making it bashable would add some counterplay against it...

They never go with "buff this for counter play" its always the tears and the nerf, and zos listens. These are the people who have made ESO pvp a zergging pug fest.

Now...admit your folly.
Beg me for mercy....
SCREAM MY NAME!!!!!!!
I don't use speed pots use tripots or Health stam and crit pots.Yea I can find a place for it dropping shade would be my best bet.I already run atro mundus for more magic recovery because I have the stam sustain from shackle/bone pirate to be fine with leeching to be fine.I'm not a vamp not sure how much its cost in all medium.I know the extra damage from Dawnbreaker and fire isn't worth it when everyone and their momma runs Dawnbreaker EOTS or SA.@KingJ
Can you replace Shade with Mist? Can you use Siphoning Strikes? Tripots instead of speed pots? How much do you pay exactly for Cloak and phase 4 Mist in medium?

Nah my weapon damage with that isn't actually that low.You have to remember Max stam also give you weapon damage. Can't remember the total conversion from the top of my head right now. From sets I get 6k stamina ontop of enchants so I play with a high stam/stam recovery setup and the weapon damage is either 3800-4k buff with enchants.I'll be on later today and tell you.Waffennacht wrote: »I don't use speed pots use tripots or Health stam and crit pots.Yea I can find a place for it dropping shade would be my best bet.I already run atro mundus for more magic recovery because I have the stam sustain from shackle/bone pirate to be fine with leeching to be fine.I'm not a vamp not sure how much its cost in all medium.I know the extra damage from Dawnbreaker and fire isn't worth it when everyone and their momma runs Dawnbreaker EOTS or SA.@KingJ

You run the atronach on a medium armor build? While running BP and Shackle? What's your weapon DMG? 2k?
