I don’t do attentionally But it’s hard to be in view of everything and everyone. If I see a node I go for it. If someone else was running to it and I got to it first oh well plenty more out there.

If I see someone else running to the same one I just run off to the next run.

And? Big deal, I didn't use the exact proper word. People have used snipe to state when someone takes something under their nose before.

To integrate in me to not help people:
Ran into an low levle LA an troll, I helped, he went for node, I saw an ancestor silk node nearby and he tried to go for that too but I won, If not I might have trolled him, max speed horse and rapid Rapid Maneuver on overland bar so I could outride him.

If I saw it first I go for it, unless someone is right by the resource and fighting. If they are fighting something, I either wait for the them to finish (or jump in and help) and then wait to see if they go after the resource or not. People who sneak in and take a node while you are fighting some NPC camped out on the node are right up there with botters in my mind.

I don't participate in these 'double' events. It tends to bring out the worst in people, and if people are already jerks, then look out. Besides, I have more matts stashed than I'll ever use.

Nah. There aren't any pixelly things I need that badly. If I want to compete, I know where Cyrodiil is.

I have sometimes aced somebody out of a node or moved on their treasure chest because I didn't notice they were there. No idea how that happens, but it does. Sorry!

I don't node farm much.

But frankly, it's not sniping if someone else got there first. A node isn't yours until it is looted.

So many kids try and "claim" open world stuff that doesn't even belong to them.

I always run for it even if someone was already running towards it, but i don't get chests if people are fighting mobs to get them.

Sniping begets sniping. When farming rubedite, I started with a friendly policy but had so many people node snipe me in the rudest ways that I've been turned into a merciless node sniper. Now i wear movement sets, speed buffs, and streak to crush the spirits of other farmers.

I'm only going there right now for the dailies and grabbing whatever nodes that are handy. Not going to waste my time farming during this event.

Had this conversation in Bal Foyen after reaching a node right before someone else.

Whisper to me: Rude!
me: If by rude, you mean fast, then yes, I am.
Player: That was my ore!
Me: Since it's in my bag, I'd say it was my ore. If you had gotten it first, then it would be your ore.
Player: It's rude to take a node someone else is running to.
Me: I spec'd this character solely for harvesting nodes. I have specific skills, CPs, and gear just to allow me to harvest as fast as possible. What have you done?
Player: your (sic) rude!

Whatever.

First to the node gets it. But it is, in my opinion, bad form to loot a node or chest that someone is fighting a mob nearby in order to get the node. In Bal Foyen, there are no mobs, so it's all about speed.

I try not to, but sometimes it may happen accidentally (don't see them because of farming tunnel-vision). I'd rather skip whatever node they are going for and get out ahead. By the way - rapids, master gatherer, and ani-canceling harvest with streak is your friend!

I'm a casual harvester, in that when I harvest I plod along casually, enjoying the scenery & in-game music along the way.

If someone else grabs a node before me, it's no big deal - I move on to the next one. If there are people harvesting ahead of me, I'll head back the way they came from as often nodes have respawned behind them.

The only thing that irks my goat is when people rush in to grab a node (or chest) when you're fighting a mob on top of it. If they help out however, I usually let them have it.

I don't ever take a node/chest from anyone if I can help it. I realize not everyone subscribes and has the craft bag, but I wish people would clean out the node/chest. It makes me crazy to come upon a node with a single crawler or a chest with an iron gauntlet in it because someone couldn't be bothered to take everything. Just because it's white gear doesn't mean it's useless. Decon it and see if you get something out of it!

Worst is when you're standing over a node fighting of a few enemies and some @$#% runs in and takes the node while you are waiting for that slow UI to exit combat.... grrr!! That really annoys me
