That’s right, coordinated group gear setups using these penetration sets are now the key to the crazy damag

NMG
Sunderflame
Alkosh (Tank still)
WarMachine (Cheap Ult toons)

Okay WarMachine is newer, but all the other sets have been around for awhile. So the big magic push of last year was really only to get people paying absurd gold for Necro whatever?

Flying solo Stam gear for PvE is still gonna be VO and something. That maelstrom bow ain’t going anywhere no time soon either.

DW/Bow is still king, but steps have been made to give other options viability.

Traits

Sharpened got nerffed to half so 2 other traits could shine for a minute. Infused and precise

Mundus

Thief hasn’t really been nerffed so bad but

Many conclude, %60 Crit is enough so mundus can be swapped with lover or warrior now as well.

One dk using sunder, one stam dps using NMG, and somewhere, one of them ought to be running war machine.

That means if three stam dps are in a trial, the dk wears sunder, the stamplar (yay, we matter again!) Wears NMG, and the NB wears War Machine.

Well I actually had Sunderflame for a long time since I realized the potential but it sat in bank char inventory for a year. Most are from the time I regularly did the daily pledges and just wait for the proper character to level and make use of them.

Doesn't have to be a DK, I heavy attack on my Stamplar and Stam Sorc enough to keep it up nearly 100% of the time.

As far as traits go, its Nirnhoned on the main hand with a poison enchant and Infused on the off hand with a weapon damage enchant and a Nirnhoned vMA bow with a Double DoT poison.

Interesting, I tried it on stamplar and didn't think I kept it up a lot. Might be I have no issues throwing jabs and using HA weave between skills.

I did 54k single target on rakkath without sunder / nmg, but with lover mundus. It's good for sure to have those sets, but doesn't hinder anyone to complete veteran trials.

What about MT with StamDks? Does infused off hand lower CD of mainhand? I thought trait wise it was infused main and precise off?

Only one person in a raid needs to wear it. I have been running sunderflame for nearly a year. No offense, but you dont hang out with great players if you only know one person wearing it (or you hang out in an amazing raid, and it's always the same guy, but I dont see option 3.). Any stam player worth anything has sunderflame gear in his bag.

That pic is at least 4-5 months old. 99% sunder uptime, oh yeah.

This stuff is nothing new to the forum junkies. But the coming back players and newer or just graduated looking to find stuff.

Things are a bit different on console. People still farm BsW and tell you Stam is crap in Trials.

Infused has always affected both cooldowns of the two enchants, no matter which hand it was used on. Beforehand, Infused was bugged in that it also buffed the enchant of the vMA bow (that was definitely a bug). This however, I doubt its a bug, kinda looks intended to me.

I thought it was just mainhand to offhand (and backbar) interaction. Sound to me like bug anywhere you put it anyway. I think DW is fine as it is with double traits and double enchants, it does not need to have one trait buffing both enchants. Not when infused and enchants arent balanced at all around 1h vs 2h difference (like precise or sharpened is)

I just use all my magicka toons as optional tank for 4-man-stuff (nice short queues). I don't even change my CPs or my Mundus from my DD allocation. It's just a click on my Dressing Room tank setup and it works fine. My magblade is my only char which can still use Ebon / Tavas, with other chars (Sorc, Templar) I changed to Ebon / Akaviri. Just my DK uses Ebon / Plague Doctor although this is pretty oversized for 4-man-stuff, Ebon / Akvairi should do it too.

I never queue as tank for random groups, and actually wear tank gear. I don't want to be queued with 3 people pulling 5K together and chip away at bosses with my fantastic 5K damage as tank so I end up finishing the dungeon in 30 minutes instead of 10. So what I typically do is go on my magicka sorcerer, replace inner light with inner fire and queue that as tank, but only on normal dungeons and vet non-DLC ones if I really need to farm something. This way I don't waste my time banging my head against horrible DPS which I can't compensate for.
