Have you tried using a cc break to become immune to cc for a whilr? Or what about cc immunity potions? The heavy armor skill is an option too.

I think you are missing the point. This is overland content, why should you have to waste potions on overland content? I mean, yes, good players aren't caught by CC as much, but the OP has a point, CC doesn't make overland PvE any harder, just infinitely more annoying.
Yes especially in CWC all mobs uses CC or knockdown. One tricks I learned questing is to move around. Just dropping your DoT and then block also work. Interupt don't work on ranged knock down like the clanfear.
At an dolmen I was jumped by 6 clanfear, had not dot been down I would died.

I may put in a couple hours a couple to few days during the week, maybe, and play catch up on the weekends or days off with longer hours of playtime. With that said, I usually play during enlightenment so we get more XP. Even when you do get max CP on your toon with leveling up new toons, there are still skillsets that need to be level up and morphed. So, practically, the most viable way for leveling up (for me, at least) is during enlightenment and hitting those dailies (fighter, mage and undaunted) and world boss pits. You just good XP when returning and dropping off the quest pieces. However, in doing so, you hit those dolmens, delves and public dungeons, and you are just encountering too much CC (or crowd control) or similar from the adds. Particularly, if you're soloing it or others also hitting those dolmens, then more adds are popping up; which means more adds with more CC.
Damn.. you're getting knocked up and down, immobilized, stunned, maimed, and the likes, left and right, front and behind, all around, from Ogrims thumping you with boulders or running you down, then, the daedroths knocking you down with the flame blast and the ground red circles. You have seducers, Daedric DK and NB stunning you and trapping you. Also, the winged twilights stunning you in place, other daedrics and undead sorcs immobizing and throwing fear on you, and other undeads stunning you. Now, we have the recent addition of the clannfears pouncing on you and knocking you down and then immobilizing you with devour, or whipping you and knocking you down with tail swipes. Man, I used to like the clannfear, especially, when frolicking around with my sorc. Since, I cannot stand those clannfears. These, among other crapshoots that slows you down and whatever else giving those adds and bosses more advantages.
What the hell, man?! Since One Tamriel, with every patch and DLC, there are new additions of CC to the adds and bosses. It is really not that fun or much enjoyable anymore with ESO's PvE land. It is still not hard, but definitely not challenging either. It has been quite annoying having to do those dailies and world boss pits so you can level your toons up. Stop with the CC, already.. goodness!
No. Learn to play or get good. Overland content is already far too easy. We need it to get harder, not easier.

The endless stuns and knock backs are irritating and a cheesey way to try and provide more challenge. It just annoys you. That is really all it does. It's like having a constant stream of intentional lag spikes inserted into your game play and making you have click your spells and abilities several more time to get them to work.
It was a mistake for them to have ever had nerfed the original unstoppable as it provided a way for players like you and I - who find this kind of gameplay obnoxious - to avoid it. So I don't know what developer was responsible for that decision - but it was probably the worst decision in terms of nerfs that was ever made on this game.

You should try PVP. Always a nice feeling when u get a triple CC while u are rooted and snared
