...eh... seems like it would then be difficult for the game to know when you want to end an emote, and when not. How'd you like staying locked in your emote when combat starts?LordSylvestrion wrote: »-Improvement on emotes?

That is actually not such a bad idea. Toggle "walk" while mounted, and reduce all mounts to one speed that everyone can match, no matter if they maxed their horse or just bought it... I like it!LordSylvestrion wrote: »-Horses/mounts and walking.
Agreed. It would be quite useful for roleplay support if they added that one... possibly on a seperate channel though, so people can be selective about wanting to read it or not, as they choose.LordSylvestrion wrote: »-Emotes showing in the chat.
Thank you. ^^ And yeah, something like that would really be awesome. Or as @TheShadowScout mentioned here the option to have it be a an appearance thing of sorts that you can equip and it cancels out once you enter combat is also a very good idea!Hello!
For what it's worth, I think some of your ideas are sound. For example, combining multiple emotes such as eating or drinking while standing has been requested before, most recently with the introduction of the ability to sit on chairs and stools and whatnot. I would personally love to use the /torch emote and then walk around with it. Yes, I admit, I miss that feature from 'the previous game'.
Haha, have seen that video long long long ago actually, forgot of its existence, could have added a few points from there. ^^
True, the guilds -do- exist but I don't feel they're sufficient enough. Some of the best RP I had personally in WoW though was the non-guild sort between players who just randomly met. ^^ But I'll agree with the other things, some sort of description like that would be awesome indeed!TheShadowScout wrote: »...and that's why there -are- guilds to do that. But what -would- be quite useful was if all characters also had an short in-game "description" bit on their interaction wheel... where strangery passing by can read up on whatever the player might want to write in there. Roleplayers of course would add their character backstroy, and thus put up the flag to others. Non roleplayers... well, they might brag about their combat prowess, coolness attrribute or endowment sizes, or whatever, but that too would be telling us something about the kind of mind behind the avatar...
I really so so so love that idea of it being a kind of appearance disguise thing that you can maybe activate and deactivate. Or hell, add it as an item even? We have appearance items, a torch or lantern wouldn't be much different, right?TheShadowScout wrote: »...eh... seems like it would then be difficult for the game to know when you want to end an emote, and when not. That being said, I oftentimes feel it would be nice to have some more options. Perhaps not emotes, but... for example, a disposable torch "disguise", that while "worn" lets you walk around with a lit torch, but "unequips and vanishes" when entering combat (like any other disguise). And then you have to light a new one from your inventory...
There could be more of that sort of course. Lanterns, bags of loot to sling over your shoulder, etc. Simple flavor stuff that locks you in an emote-ish while walking around, using the "disguise" mechanics... one enemy blow, and its gone, and you obviously cannot stealth while its active.
And this one is also something I approve of! The ability to choose what songs you play and what-not. Another thing I noticed is that the same songs don't play for all players. I had a guildie tell me what the bard was playing currently and it didn't match with what I heard, but that's NPCs.TheShadowScout wrote: »For musical instruments though, I would prefer a whole "bard" guild skill line... like: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/306759/additional-guild-ideas
Some NPCs can do it, but yeah, I understand how from the technical standpoint these things can be messy, and would possibly require reworking a few things but yeah. Some sort of option would really be nice.TheShadowScout wrote: »...depends what you mean by "while sitting" - furniture sitting? Emote-chair-sitting? Less easy, since starting one chaireat emote would have to cancel the chairsit emote (since they are both emotes), and you'd have to chairsit again after the chaireat emote ends...
I know right? That deserves a thread in itself so it is noticed. xD It shouldn't be a hard fix, right? Would just be changing the speed of the horse when it walks, and it would have such a nice payoff~!TheShadowScout wrote: »That is actually not such a bad idea. *Slaps with a tuna* Bad boy, no. That heresy is insufficient and not the point.
Maybe people have given up or gotten used to it? Myself am a fairly new player and have played only since last christmas so for me it is all pretty fresh. ^^ But thanks for acknowledging it.Bladerunner1 wrote: »It's nice to see this topic, and it's very rare these days. A lot of people still RP, and many have just given up asking about the things they wished would change, but it never hurts to bring it up again. Maybe we'll see some changes in the next big quality of life update. One can only hope.

Yeah, it is time then to make a new one~! The more this thread grows the more of a chance it has to be noticed that this still is a need so we can nudge Bethesda that we agree. They added things before which were a nice addition to the RP community, but I still feel it lacking. ^^Bladerunner1 wrote: »There was a huge list I saw on another forum years ago, but hopefully more people will add to yours.
