Need help choosing between magnb or stamsorc for pve

This is how i see it..

Magnb
pros; more group utility, possibly a little more easy to play, overall more creativity with the abilities and options
cons; a "weaker" version of a magsorc (not sure if true) overall lacking dps compared to other mag builds

stamsorc
pros; great single and aoe dmg..that's all i can think of really..lol
cons; boring in terms of abilities as most stam builds have the same set up..

Why do you play magnb/stamsorc in pve?

I prefer stam sorc. You are right about the bland setup but the aoe and survivability is awesome. Especially if you intend to solo stuff.

id go magnb if I intend to play in group and stamsorc if I intend to solo most things

The first two toons I rolled were MagNB and StamSorc.

StamSorc is easy mode, solo and in groups. Lay down all dots with crit surge and you won't die, ever.

MagNB you really have to focus hard to pull even similar DPS numbers, it's definitely not easier to play. You must get your rotation on point to do well. It's better in vMA I think, just because of having shields.

I've played both, and honestly Stam Sorc is more fun.

Especially if you go Two-Handed.

It's by no means the optimal build, but I can pull over 25k self buffed on a dummy, and it feels pretty badass to run around with hurricane and a big weapon.

Honestly, I’d create two toons and give them both a go. I like StamSorc a bit better, but both are fun.

I play both, they are both fun ^^
