Sometimes you gotta block, or apply pressure or LoS....
You can't LoS against a warden because you have no chance of bursting them unless you go full damage with no sustain and survivability which means you will still die to birds as you can't avoid them.

what you think my warden is build?
Full DMG, NO Survivability!
When you hold nothing back and puts all on one card, it is high risk, but the only way to play PvP for me!

Access to 1 button answers (i.e. soothing spores, shimmering)
Delayed abilities actually save resources
The abilities are cheap (I believe pigeons is 1800 Stam)
Access to major endurance (useful for both mag and Stam classes)
Imo sustain is the same for all classes (except DK cuz I don't know for DK) and that's plenty
On my stamina builds 3k wpn DMG and 2k+ Regen is not hard to do
On my mag builds I don't need to run any dedicated regen set, or if I do one is plenty.
So Stam warden may have the best sustain, but it's not really a deciding factor imo

Sure, nect helps with sustain but that is not the reason. Delayed abilities has little to no impact on sustain too. Cliff racer while cheap, is just barely cheaper than most spammables and to this day (even after Lexxy rant how OP it is and need no morph effect) it is barely used in open world by stam wardens. Same goes for Major Endurance, that is from pots anyway and many stam wardens stopped using this skill I noticed. The sustain is simply just ok on its own.
I would blame perceived 'perfect' sustain all on shimmering shield and/or heavy armor. Since all it takes to feel out of resources all the time is to use medium, drop shimmering and go to any 1v(2+) fight.

No one would dropped shimmering shield that's like dropping cloak on a magblade or shields on a sorc and medium stamden is just as strong as heavy armor stamden.
I mean why would you not use netch it gives free sustain, adds 2% dmg, heals you when it despawns and you can use it to run dw/1h+s while offering major brutality.
Heavy armor sustain is much worse than medium sustain.
For open world Birds are just awesome you force your enemy to go meele as you have the best ranged spammable and are immune to ranged attacks and when they go meele you can wreck them with shalks, dawnbreaker and birds combo

Obv noone is going to drop the skill that makes this class that much stronger. I am just saying that if ZoS one day decides to nerf warden (which would be warranted) if they do it like with healing ult and nerf everything around the class will just be gutted and impossible to play without shimmering, while changes to shimmering could improve the balance and keep diverse builds (and maybe even buff some parts affecting pve)
As for heavy armor, no comment.
And as for birds. I bet there are more people saying they are good/op than there are actual stam warden using the skill. If I say the skill is bad I will sound like idiot, so I will just say that, ehm, the skill (stam morph) is barely used in Cyrodiil outside of huge zergs. That should say enough about it. Maybe NA is different, maybe BG re different. Probably same reason why is everybody praising/complaining gap closers sub assault combo, yet it is rare sight to see warden using gap closer, let alone comboing with it. (So far, ZERO sightings of stam warden using both cliff racer and gap closer, but maybe I am just un/lucky?)
The only dmg that is dodgeable from the warden skill trees is the bears ultimate (active use). Everything else is undodgeable, whoever thought this would be balanced is a jackazz.

LoS doesn't work if already cast.
To the OP. Just get used to it, as long as Morrowind is a paid expansion Cliff Racers are gonna stay undodgeable. There's a reason they are that way (noobs need some way of killing things in PvP, well you did buy the expansion, why shouldn't you be able to kill things right?), there's a reason you see them come flying at you from behind whilst running away getting zerged and there's a reason why all the top "small scalers" are switching to Warden.

Yeah but you can sustain it without problems while going full monty with dmg and to the perfect sustain Warden adds great damage, awesome utility and the best stamina healing in the game that outclasses many magclasses aswell.
Try playing a stamplar or a stamdk with am equal dmg setup. GL sustaining, surviving and actually killing in fights against good players with those classes on Warden i get kills if i push 1-2-3 and für tanky targets 1-2-R-3. it's so easy to burst as a warden with the delayed abilities and shalks while ignoring the main defences of all stamina classes except for stamnb.
I recant all my previous “nerf warden” statements.
Now that my warden is lvl 50 I finally see the light and agree with Lexxypwns. To all those who said “you’d think it’s challenging when you play it” you’re right!
It’s really hard. Like so hard. My beetles have a massive range and hit hard and it’s really challenging for me to hit beetles, wait a sec, hit stampede, hit DBoS as beetles hit, and then hit my 2h execute.
That’s just too many steps. TOO MANY.
It’s really challenging guys plz buff Stam warden.
