Forget memes . Lay down an let me work out those knots for you .
you are already thes second person in this tread that is writting that "weaving attacks" and "animation cancelling" are two different things (I thought that was just "animation cancelling") - could you please explain the exact difference to me please? I don`t know, so that is why I am asking.

Hello @altemriel , sure I'll take a stab at differentiating the two.
Animation cancelling is reducing the animation of an attack/ability by using block or another ability...which allows you to do more in a shorter timeframe. For example, on my stamblade I use block to animation cancel my Arrow Barrage which gives me a little bit more time to use another attack/ability., which can result in higher DPS.
Weaving is throwing in a light or heavy attack between some abilities during your combat rotation. This can result in more DPS because some abilities animation cancel light and heavy attacks or vice versa (on my stamblade I can use Surprise Attack to cancel light/heavy attack animations). Heavy attacks also restore resources so there is an added benefit there as well.
